Question about Xerox WorkCentre PE16 All-In-One Laser Printer

I can't print. when I type a word-document. The printer is working en coying, but it doesn't work since yesterday with my printer. Please, help me.

1. Try to print a self-test report from your printer.
2. If it prints and if your printer is connected through a USB cable, check if the USB cable has not loosen up.
3. Turn of your printer.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Turn on your printer again and try to print.

Are there any error/warning messages on your computer and/or in the printer LCD?

Click Start.

Type services.msc in the start search box and press enter.

Right click on print spooler and click on properties.

Check if the startup type is automatic. If it is not then change it to automatic.

Check if the service status is stopped.

If yes then click on the start button.

Try to add a printer and print a test page.

I have a inpiron 530 with a Photo 926 printer. It will only print the last page of a print job.


Hello randy,
This is going to take some troubleshooting.
Please try the following, and test after each change. Hopefully we can get this working for you quickly Verify that when you hit print it under print range that only the last page is selected.
Try printing a different document, this is assuming you've been only having the issue with one document. Try printing a different type of document, using a different program such as word, notepad, or even a multi-page website.
If any of these has worked for you then it has either narrowed it down to the specific document, or the program, re install the program in question.
If none of the following has helped.
go to start/run type cmd to open the command prompt type following net stop spooler net start spooler this will restart the print spooler service.
If none of the above worked, delete the printer and reinstall. If problem persists install printer on a separate computer to verify that it works correctly.

Delete document manually from the path mentioned below:

1) Press windows + R an then type spool
2) Go to PRINTERS folder.
3) Delete the files present in there.

If not able to delete then
1) Open command prompt.
2) type "net stop spooler" and then delete the files
3)Again type "net start spooler"

Your stuck document is now cleaned. You can start printing your document again.

double check ALL the print settings (i.e. paper type, document type, etc). Depending on which option it is even one "box" or "setting" being changed can alter your printers function. Try looking for options that will auto detect the type of document you are printing (ie, color, with pic, plain, etc).

Dell 810 not printing


Dear chibihamster, It seems that there is some loose connection in your printer. If you have a little knowledge in hardware, please open your printer carefully, check all the connected cable specially the printer head connector. The best way is that disconnect the printer head cable and reconnect it again. Do not do anything in your scanner circuit area, otherwise it will create you more problems. If this doesn't solve your problem, please contact the manufacturer. GOOD LUCK!!

If this doesn't work, then; Make sure your drivers are up to date and not corrupted - download new drivers from; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=421991&rule=36216&lang=en& see if you can borrow another printer from someone (doesn't have to be the same, but that would be best), install it and then see if you get the same problem, confirming if the data transfer from the pc is or is not the problem. If the other printer works fine, then the next thing to suspect would be the power supply - try plugging into a different power socket, and try and get hold of a new power adaptor and see if that works. Replace any connecting cables to the pc with new good ones, just in case that is the problem. Hope this helps, if the machine prints at all then it should be fixable :)
