press the mode button, which is the audio knob repeatedly to choose the desired mode and rotate the knob until desired sound is obtained. as you press the mode button, the option will go from these followings: volume, bass, treble, balance, fade
In the initial stage of the set up your 9887 the stereo is set with an Equalizer (parametric or graphic), Until you use the Imprint set up module to Tune your car you wont get bass / treble controls. Also after Tuning with Imprint you will lose the EQ function, and it will only be B/T.
I am not familiar with your head unit but I know some radios can control audio options for each source. My unit has adjustments for bass treble fade sub out etc in each source like radio, dvd, cd usb etc. I would check this first. For example, my radio can have the bass set to zero while the dvd can have the bass set to 5. If this is the case for your stereo, the sub out for the different sources can still be set to off.
ok i cant see your entire question but to adjust bass and treble on an alpine, you see the knob (the one which u use to turn volume up and down), push it in (itll click) then a screen/textt will come up and say bass or an option once it says bass, turn the knob up or down, then press in again and it will say treble or fader or something else, once again, adjust it and keep pressing in the knob until u reach the volume again. does it work? is this what u wanted?
I have an Alpine CDA-9813 and to access bass, treble, fade, and balance, you need to press the volume button. This button is usually rotated to adjust the volume but on mine, if you press it in, first time accesses bass, second press accesses treble, 3rd press accesses balance(left to right), and 4th press accesses fading (forward to rear. Press it a 5th time and it either brings you back to volume or back to the main screen. I think it is volume tho. I would assume that the 9853 would work very similar, if not the same.
Under the silver volume knob is a thin silver bar. Push it and the menu will pop up on the screen. Continue to push this bar to scroll through the different options. It controls bass, treble, balance, fade, sub volume etc. Good luck, hope this helped.
There is no straigt forward bass and treble adjustment. You must adjust in either the (x-over) or (users EQ) function. It is a bit tedious but performs the bass and treble adjustments at multiple frequencies.
