This motherboard supports a floppy drive so if you manage to get one it is compatible.

Disable the original driver, put It in a flash drive or floopy ,back up your registry and install your new driver from a place you can find It ..i.e
floopy works best if the new driver has a un-install choice

Computer rebooths when i try and use the floopy drive

Go to system properties by right clicking my computer and selecting properties.
Select the advanced tab then under start up and recovery click the settings box.
Untick automatically restart under system failure.

Now try the floppy drive again and instead of rebooting the PC should throw up a blue screen with a STOP error on it.
Note down the stop error code and let me know or google the error which should point you in the right direction to help you solve this issue.

Good luck buddy

My Bios not run more. My AN35N ultra is dead

find someone who has a computer that you can get on line with.
youll need a floopy drive on both your computer and the one your using, go to the manufactures support website and download the bios file for your motherboard to the floopy. then take the floopy and put it in your computer and start it up. it should download the bios to your system.
if you dont have floopy drives, you can use a usb drive if your systems are set up for usb, but your boot order also have to be setup to recognize the usb.
if this is an older computer you most likely have a floopy drive.
hope this fixes your problem.
would appreciate your leaving feedback for me
thanks.

Dell l400 problem

1.If you purchase an external USB CD drive you will not need to use your floppy discs for booting. 2. You can connect a USB CD drive to your system. 3. Your system will recognize any device plugged into your USB drive. 4. There is no CD drive available for internal installation in your computer. 5. With the USB CD drive plugged in and the windows installation disc inserted, your computer should take you through the setup program automatically.

I go Why can't I install Windows XP on my S-ATA HDD by SiS964? A: You have to copy the driver paired with the motherboard package into a floppy disc before you installing WinXP or Windows 2000 on your system, and follow the notice showed on the screen to insert the floopy disc. The system will grab the needed driver from the disc to finish the installation of S-ATA HDD automatically.

Because SiS964 was announced before than Windows XP and WinXP therefore it can't recognize it. If you want to install a whole new WinXP (or Windows 2000) on S-ATA HDD by SiS964, you need to copy the necessary driver from the directory named floopy image on your driver CD to one floopy disc. When you begin to install OS, follows the instruction to put your disc into floopy drive. After this, you will keep on installing your WinXP smoothly. If you use P-ATA HDD, you don't need to do like this.

t this off the sis.com web site what does it all mean.

Floopy disk

Hi

Regarding configuring flopy drive for desktop please check these things

The wire on the ribbon cable with the red stripe is the pin 1 end and there should be a mark on the floppy drive as well marking the pin 1 end. Sometimes a little arrow or triangle point at pin1 sometimes stenciled with a number.
