My Lenovo 3000 G410 Optiarc DVD/RW AD 7560A can t read just writed cd/dvd. But it dose not happend with the original/licence cd /dvd.

First you need to check your DVD rom drivers if it is detected in the Device manager window, Just click on Start , Control Panel, System then Device manager there you can check the list of all your devices.
  • In Device Manager look for DVD/CD-rom drives click the arrow or plus sign on the left to show he sub Menu.
  • Check to see if there are any Marks such as question marks, Exclamation Points or Red X's.
  • Hopefully there are none of any, if there is try uninstalling the driver then restart the machine it should automatically reinstall the DVD/CD-rom.
  • Now to get the not reading error, Click on Start, then on the Start Search Bar type on REGEDIT then press enter. mvincentc_35.jpg
  • This will open the Registry Editor Window.
  • In the Registry Window follow this key path = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Once the dvd/cd-rom appears a list on the Right pane window will show, on the list looke for upper and lower filters then delete both then close the registry window then restart you computer.

This should help restore you DVD/CCD-rom back to a reading state.

Have a nice day,

Well , i would suggest to check the device manager first if not listed under my computer. to check device manager. Click on start and click on run , type devmgmt.msc and click ok. if not listed then a power issue or connector issue if listed , then simply right click and uninstall it. reboot the pc....this is should help.

Thanks.

CD/DVD rom drive not working

Hi there.
It sounds like the drivers could be bad or the lens has gone.
This can be a common problem with vista loosing the CD/DVD drives.
Do this >>>>>> right click on "computer" and select "manage" from the sub menu, then select "device manager" from the left hand side, it will generate a list of devices, look down the list for CD/DVD and click on the + icon next to it, from the drop down list right click and uninstall, restart the PC and let vista re-install the drivers for you, then try to use the CD/DVD.
If this does not work please post back.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Hi there.
If its Vista you are using, right click on "computer", select "manage" a window will pop up, select "device manager" you will now see a list of devices, look down the list and locate the CD/DVD Rom, click on the + icon next to the CD/DVD, right click on it and select "uninstall". restart the machine and load windows up as usual, the drivers for the CD/DVD will install automatically and you should be able to use the CD/DVD Rom.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!!

CD / DVD player not listed as device on Windows Explorer

Try physically removing the player and fire up the laptop. Power down the laptop, replace the player and power back up. If that doesn't help, see if BIOS recognizes it.
If that doesn't work, get back to me.
