Question about Video Game Consoles & Games

Hello! I have lost the original power supply for my Fanatec Speedster 3 Forceshock steering wheel; I have a universal adapter that should work; however, I don't know what voltage setting to set the adapter's switch to, nor do I know the tip polarity for the plug (positive or negative). Could anyone give me this information?

Need to see if universal power supply will work

Hello,

Most universal AC adapters do not put out enough amperage, the Akai LCT2070 needs a 5amp 12v power supply. These adapters are available for $14 here:

HI, unfortunately I lost the power adapter of my Gemini FX 7000. I want to replace it with a universal power adapter with the accurate voltage but the connector is quite weird for a power supply (RJ 45)...

Don't even think of using a universal adapter !!! I could not find the schematic of this unit, but other Gemini mixers like this use center tapped AC power transformers. Any universal adapter will be DC, not AC. I have found that the FX7000 indeed uses an 18 VAC adapter... Try this as a source:

I have a alesis dm5 drum module. I have lost the power supply so I bought a universal power supply buti dont want to harm the system. How do i set the power supply up?

NEVER use a universal wall wart supply... it is too easy for the settings to be changed and blow the unit.

It appears that the correct power adapter supplies 9 volts AC at 1 amp (1000 ma)

Most universal adapters supply DC rather than AC.

There are sellers on eBay selling the correct adapters.

Atari 2600 Console Power Adapter

The Atari 2600 adapter has the following information on it:

Input: 120V AC 60Hz 12W

Output: 9V DC 500mA

Positive tip

Make sure you test the power supply before you use it. I have 2 original atari power supplies, and they are both putting out about 15V DC, which may be why my atari's aren't working anymore!

Lost oem power cord

You need to be sure the actual current supported by the generic universal adapter as some cant fit the requirements of your device so the nintendo will lack of current no matter the voltage you have.

Other thing you must take in consideration is the polarization of the plug as you can put inverse polarization and damage your console. Not like your case as you have a blinking light so looks more like and system error.

Try finding an original data for the current requirements in mA (i.e. 500mA) or the power also works before you make some calculations (i.e. 10w).
