I bought a new PC two days ago. When I want to install software canon printer MP198, i found i lost it. Now cannot print without install . what should i do?

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts.

hi, look at this post maybe can solved your problem not all Error E3 means your printer part damage but maybe somethings inside it that makes the printer look likes paper jam,
Canon MP198 Printer Error E3 is because something inside of the printer that makes paper sensor not function properly. To fix this error E3 you must open inside of the printer to remove the things.

Look at the paper sensor there is must be somethings in it. I found this when my printer Canon MP198 got error E3. I found small part of paper in the sensor that makes sensor not function properly. I just remove the paper and the printer working again.

hi Scanning has nothing to do with the black ink or whatever. Just remove the USB cable from the Canon, power it on and re-install the software.

You will re-connect the USB to the Canon only when the software askes you. REBOOT after the installation and windows will find the new hardware.

Open the scnning software that was just installed and you are set. The scanner is operated from the software only.

Hi wolst, try updating your printer drivers:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done
