TRY AND LISTEN TO UR COMPRESSOR SEE IF U HEAR ANNYTHING THERE? IF NOT CHECK UR COMPRESSOR CONDENSOR FAN AND FREEZER EVAPORATOR FAN FOR BLOCKAGE OR OBSTRUCTIONS? OR POSSIBLY 1 OF THE FANS MOTOR IS GOING OUT MAKING FUNNY SOUNDS, ANOTHER THING COULD BE A BAD DOOR SEAL ISSUES WHICH OVERWORKS THE COMPRESSOR AND CAN CAUSE IT TO MAKE FUNNY NOISES

Alienware m15x fan noise problem

Get a can of compressed air and give a good blast to open ports and cooling fans, this may resolve the issue, if not the fan will need to be replaced. I do recommend the computer be taken apart down the road for good cleaning.

My laptop gets really hot when the fan operates and would like to open it up and clean it myself as I have had it for over five years now and don't think its worth taking into a specialist. It also makes...

Spinning fan attracts a lot of dust over the years hence the noise that it makes when spinning. To avoid laptop overheating, follow the information from this link.

I wouldn't recommend opening it up unless you know what you are doing. If you want to open it up, watch this video about how to do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgrm9RfYpsQ
Different model, but similar process.

thanks for showing the 200. G60t-200. they made lots of 60s.
the fan on all PC's need to be cleaned every year
or they all pack up and overheat or make noise.
if the the fan, free of any lint makes noise (not blow sound)but
racket, sounds, the bearing inside are shot.
no fan made lasts for ever,
but longer that the HDD, and batteries, for sure.
but way less the 20-30years or more for CHIPS.
its just a dc brush motor with bearings.
some are AC motors inside,(with 3 phase driver inside and no brushes, fancy) but is of no matter, noise bad is bad fan.
its really that simple.
keep in mind folks in text box can not hear your bad fan.
so answers will be, wrong, 1/2 the time. here.
due to , all work like this is hands on ears on eye on job and lots of experience.
if the blades are free ,of JUNK.
and it makes bad sounds, its bad. simple as that.
except in the cases of its falling out , screws missing , or loose.
like I said I cant see it.

My computer is becoming really hot and noisy. After turning on the computer, everything is good (no noise). Once around 15 minutes passes by or I open up a lot of programs together, my computer starts...

Sounds like the fan is wearing out, as it heats up the fan needs to spin faster and if the bearings are wearing out it will start getting louder and it will also get hotter because the fan cannot keep up the heat being produced. You can replace the fan, most computer shops will carry replacements, also get a can of compressed air and give the inside of the computer a good cleaning. This will help keep things cooler as well. Also make sure that the air vents on the outside of the case are clear as well.

The fan in modem makes loud noises at times

Modems don't have fans.
I think you mean your fan in the computer makes a loud noise. Some computers have settings where the fan speeds up if you are doing a lot of things--making the computer work harder.
Some fans make noise just before they fail. Depends on the type of noise. If it's a sound that has a lot of rattling in it or maybe a high screeching sound, I'm thinking you'll be needing a new fan. Probably a CPU fan is the culprit. Also, fans on video cards often go bad--so you'll have to open the case and listen to where the sound comes from.

My computer makes a loud noise, how can I fix this problem please?

there are a limited number of things that could be making noises. take off the cover of your computer and listen close when you start it. A fan would be the first thing i'de suspect. check them all- cpu fan- motherboard fan-videocard fan- powersupply fan.
I would also listen to the powersupply (rear top of computer)
only things left to check that could be making noise are the cd/dvd rom, floppy drive (both wont run without a disk in them) and your hard drive which would be the last one to make noise. the hard drive runs everytime your computer moves data, if it is getting loud, i would suggest backing up important files and shopping for a new one. Post again here if I can be of further assistance.
Regards..
