Hi,make sure the filter is clean ,then check the evaporator coils(cold) to make sure air can flow through without resistance.then check the condenser coils(hot) make sure the fins are clean and not bent. check the location of the thermostat is cold air blowing on it because it's too near a cooling vent? if so relocate it away from drafts ,if the thermostat cools before you do you will be hot when it turns off.same in winter if the thermostat gets hot because heat blows on it ,it will knock off before the room heats.

If your thermostat has batteries, change them.

Take care.

Mitsubishi mr slim is not blowing cold air. COmpressor does not seem to come on. only a light flow of fan air. would cleaning the filters solve the issue? Thank you!

No it will not .Gist you have to check what is preventing the compressor. Those unit have a lot of safety so first thing reset the unit and you do that by shutting the power off then turn it back on .
You then look at the compressor to serve what it's doing .If it comes on and run for a minute then shut off again that means the coil is dirty so you should wash it .If compressor does not do anything then check the control board for any blown buss fuses.
If no bad fuses are found then you need to see if system have any freon (refrigerant) .If your guages is reading 0 or reading very low it means you have a leak and that needed to be fixed before your ac could work again

Overheat protection shut the unit off after about twenty minutes.

compressor over heat is usually caused by the cooling fan next to it not running. Could be a wire came off since it is new or maybe something keeping the fan blades from turning. With out a brand and model I'm just guessing.

Mr slim ac shuts down and restarts to frequently.

Changing the setting won't affect the way the unit works, only how long it runs for. Rapid switching off and on will kill your compressor in time - check the refrigerant level. Usually short cycling on lp switch.

Mitsubishi ac keeps on turning itself off

If the compressor overheats, the clixon circuit will shut off the power to the motor to prevent damage. Then when it cools it will close the circuit and the compressor will again run to only shut down again.
The suction line going to the compressor should be cold - the cold gas returning to unit cools the hermetically sealed motor. If that line is hot you may be low on refrigerant.

I have a Mitsubishi electric Mr Slimair conditioning. It runs a few minutes in cool mode, then it stops and an error of P8 code appears. When it runs, the fan is not strong.

P8-Abnormality in outdoor unit.
1) Wrong wiring of indoor/outdoor
connecting wire
2) Reversed phase
3) Protection device is working
4) Damaged outdoor coil thermistor

Solution:

1) Check the indoor/outdoor connecting wire.
2) Change the connection of electric wiring.
3) Check the protection device.
4) Measure the resistance of the outdoor coil thermistor.
If the resistance is normal, replace the
outdoor controller board.

Hope,it's helpful.

Its not working and flashing P6. Its a Mr Slim

dear sir/madam i think.... mr Slim A control R407c & R410a systems.
P6 = indoor coil frost protection in cooling or indoor coil overheat protection in heating.

Cooling
One of the 2 indoor coil sensors reads minus 15 deg C for 3 mins.
Heating
One of the indoor coil sensors reads over 70 deg C.

If you are sure the refrigerant charge is correct & system operation is correct then it could be a coil temperature sensor reading wrong temperature.
If you have one of those little monitor things which plug into the outdoor circuit board you can monitor the indoor coil temperature.
On later type remote controllers you can get all operating data like temp sensor data but you will need a service manual to do this.
Or you can measure the ohms resistance of the temp sensors & compare with the chart in the service manual. if you can do it by yourself do if not then contatct ot mitsubishi maintenance personnnel for furhter action, thank you hope answer the question please vote!

We have a MXZ-3A30NA that does not seem to be cooling down the house. Indoor temps are reading 75 to 78 degrees and the units are set at 65. We have gone through the book and have followed the check list...

Hi!!

Check the following:

Make sure the filter and the evaporator coil are clean. Also check condenser coil in the outside unit is clean.

When unit is turned on there should be (on the led display, inside unit) one green light on for the blower and another one for the compressor, both lights should be ON untill the unit reaches the preset temp. If the light for the compressor (usually the light on the right side) does not stay ON, check the outside unit.

On the outside unit, check that when turned on, both the fan and the compressor kick in and stay running. If the fan motor stops, the compressor overheats and the thermal proteccion shuts it down to prevent damage. Also, if the R22 gas is low, the low pressure switch prevents the compressor from running.

Good Luck!!
