The PS3 shouldn't have any effect on your computer's hard drive.

My PS3 is broken and It will not turn on any more do to blunt trauma and i want to get the info off my hard drive how do i do this can it be done.

If you mean you want to transfer the files from that ps3 to another, all you have to do is remove the harddrives in both units, and swap them. If you want to have the harddrive in the new unit instead of the old one, once you have the old harddrive in the new unit simply use the backup function and backup to an external harddrive. In either case keep the extra drive because ps3 harddrives have a tenancy to die (I'm on my third drive)
Heres a video on how to remove the drive:

Well my ps3 is saying that my hard disk files has been corrupted and restored and when i try to restor it it restors and restarts and does it agian

The harddrive in your ps3 has died. You need to purchase a new one, the ps3 takes a simple Laptop 2.5inch harddrive. These can be purchased for around $35 for an 80gb harddrive.

Very odd that it will play Bluray DVDs but not games. It could be an issue with the harddrive since many games store important information the harddrive and then read it off of there. I suppose the issue could be cropping up because the PS3 cannot access that information on your harddrive thus causing it to fail to play those titles.

What you could try is backing up all the information you have on your harddrive and then formatting it etc. This should clear any corruption. To test if it is indeed any corrupted data then you can test a newly formatted harddrive and see if that allows you to play games just fine. If you have a spare 2.5" SATA HDD lying around, then go ahead and use that as your test drive (keep in mind it will have to be formatted by the PS3 etc).

Hope this helps.

My playstation 3 powers on but i get no audio or video

If harddrive light flashes on the PS3, you might not have the wires in the right place on your tv. Settings on the PS3 might not be set to the right cable. Tv might not be on the right input to view the PS3. If harddrive light dousn't flash your got bigger problems. Harddrive light is the amber colored light on the left side.

Ps3 hardrive corrupted

You can restore your PS3's harddrive by loading your console into Safe Mode.

Choose option 5 'Restore PS3 System' to restore all default settings and reformat the harddrive.

I hope that helps.

Ps3 problems

the hard drive? less than $100. you would have to open your ps3 up and take out the original. then you have to get the new one and put it in place of the original. the ps3 *may* format the drive for you, but you might have to plug the new drive into a computer and format it. probably fat32, but it may be a specialized format. search around on google for details. the hard drive you can pick up off the internet from tiger direct or you can take a look for one at the source or circuit city.

It works but doesnt read any discs

well the harddrive is corrupt same thing happened to mine. this happened because while you were playing a game or watching a film you probably moved the console which damages the harddrive but there is no way you can fix it you either send it to sony which would cost a fortune because its in america and there is a risk of it getting lost or damaged in the post or you type in ps3 repair in google and click on the first one.
