Bring up the network connection, right click on the wireless network connecting and bring up properties. Select the wireless network tab and remove all networks from under "preferred networks." Once one, add your new network, you can specify the encryption keys under the association/authentication tab. One more thing, under the preferred networks, you have an advanced button. Hit that and select the second option.

If this does not work, try this website. It is for that router with walkthroughs.

I get a full wireless signal but when its connected to wireless there is no internet. The internet works when connected (ethernet) by bypassing the router, but there is no data transfer wirelessly.

The wireless router most likely has been configured with WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryption key.
Unless you configure the wireless card in your computer with the router's encryption key the computer cannot connect to the router by wireless.

My Dell laptop does not connect easily to d-link WBR 2310 router

2 wireless laptops are connecting. that means the router must be working properly. Only 1 laptop is not connecting.
Try to change the wireless channel on the router.
For this you will need to open the set up page of the router.
Is there any computer connected to the router ? If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router and open the set up page. Under wireless settings try to change the wireless channel on the router and see if that works.

How to install router from one computer to another?

Once the router is configured properly for internet connection and one computer can get online, then all you have to do is to connect the other computer to the router. No need to make other configurations for the second computer unless the other computer is going to connect wirelessly.

If you need assistance regarding connecting the second computer wirelessly, just let me know. Indicate the brand and model of the router, operating system of the computer and wireless adapter.

For somw strange reason i cant pick up any internet unless i plug in the network cord into my laptop.... it used to work b4.. can someone help me?

If you connect the cord to the laptop and the router it works that means the wired connection of the router is working only the wireless connection is not working.
It might be the issue of the wireless settings of the router or the computer. You will need ot check the wireless settings of the router and the computer.
to check the wireless settings of the router , you will need to open the router set up page. Is there any computer connected to the router ?
if not then you will need to connect the computer to the router and open the router set up page.

Linksys wireless router isn't working

What is the Operating system on the laptop ?
If it is XP then in the bottom right hand corner you will find Wireless network connection ( looks like 1 computer monitor). Use that icon to connect to the wireless network.
If it is windows Vista, then in the bottom right hand corner you will find 2 computer monitor icon. Use that icon to connect to the wireless network.
If it is Windows 98/ME/2000 then use the adapter utility to connect to the wireless network.
For MAC you will see the AIRPORT icon at the top.

Check the wireless settings of the router first . Make sure that you have all the wireless settings of the router. If you are not sure about the settings, then open the router set up and check the settings.

Cannot get wireless adapter to connect to wireless router

The key number is the passphrase on your router when you initially set it up. Usually you'll need to enter it when you set up a wireless router.

Connecting with internet

Yes, that is possible since you have a wireless router. Router can share internet connection. Go to this link this will help you setup the wireless connection (secure it if you want)

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/wireless/Dlink/DI-524/wireless.htm then on the very bottom there is an option how to Configure Windows XP to connect to your wireless network.

I suggest this because it would be better if there is encryption on the network so people wont be able to access your internet for free (unless you give them the security key)

Belkin router

check you connections
DSL or CABLE Internet service connect to the routers WAN
Your PC connect to one of the 4 LAN, unless you are using wireless.

test Internet connection by directly connecting the modem to your PC, if that works the above should resolve the problem, unless the router is bad.

hope this helps
thanks for the rating
