Question about Apple Power Mac G4 Desktop
Hello - Sorry you've got the problem.
Let's go over some Powermac RAM rules:
1 - You installed PC133 SDRAM - not PC-100 2 - You installed three 512 Mb sticks and not one 1 Gb and one 512 Mb which won't work or any other combination besides three 512's.
If those are OK you need to:
Remove all the RAM
Install one stick at a time making sure each is firmly seated (you'll hear a small click when it's secure) and power up the machine. after you install each one separately and it boots, then you can install all the RAM knowing the RAM is good. If it doesn't boot with any one stick you've maybe found a bad piece of RAM.
But to be sure (I know it's tedious - but necessary) do the above all over again, but in the next RAM slot - You need to discover if it's the RAM or the Mac.
If the machine still doesn't boot after the testing above (highly unlikely to have three bad pieces of RAM) there probably is another problem besides the RAM. something wrong with the Mac. But most likely you'll be full of RAM and ready to run everything faster and smoother then ever.
Good luck trouble shooting and thanks for using Fix Ya

Make sure access door is closed and latched completely & try pulling power cable for 30 sec then reattach and try restart. If those don't work - contact macsales.com (excellent Apple/Mac folks)
