Question about Pioneer VSX-1015TXK Receiver

1 Answer

Pioneer VSX-1015TX 7.1 Receiver AMP ERROR I just recently started getting this AMP ERROR message when I try to change input sources, it does not matter which source I click on, for example, whenever I switch from per say my TV/Satellite to the LD I get a clipping noise then the AMP turns OFF for about a second or two and comes back up, this happens over & over when changing sources. I also noticed that the volume of the FRONT right channel is way lower than my left, I thought maybe the speaker or the crossover of my right speaker was fried but NO, I swapped my front speakers and still, the sound of the right channel is almost non existent, the rest of my channels work perfect including my surrounds on sides and back. Also while playing any source I notice that there is some very low static noise coming out of my right channel, a noise similar to what old LP vinyl record players used to sound like when dirty. Please help, I hope my AMP is not fried.

I would recommend checking your speakers polarity ( + on the + - on the - ). Also check to make sure the wires are not touching each other where they connect to the speaker or amp. Also check your input connections if you are not using HDMI or Optical. Worst case is you have to send it in to get serviced. Hope this helps

Pioneer VSX 1020K - Zone 2 Setup

I referred to a similar zone 2 arrangement for a Yamaha receiver. It shows a separate amplifier and notes that only analog signals are sent to zone 2. The analog output from a source must be connected to the analog input on your Pioneer unit for zone 2 to work. Your outdoor music environment will be limited to left and right front speakers and...alas...no surround

You'll need a phono pre amp and then you can connect to aux inputs.

Problems with Sharp Blu Ray Player "copy protected signal"

Possible solution: You set up your remote to run your amp from the TV control, using the AQUOS Link. Even though your amp is out of the loop, it's still recognized by the TV. You might have to reset the TV back to default and run the AQUOS Link again.

Pioneer VSX-D411 receiver "Amp Error" message

Hello,
Unfortunatelly your receiver has failed. The front panel is telling you one of the power modules is probably bad. Not an DIY type of repair. These parts are near $40.00, plus cost of replacing.
Look at options to replace your trusted receiver with a new one.
Good luck
