I believe Acer discontinued that product, however, you can get a similar Acer product (probably of higher quality) for under $100 at this link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009230&cm_re=Acer_17%22_monitor-_-24-009-230-_-Product
No affiliation with seller. Hope this helps!

Acer al707 monitor menu box keeps popping up .Pressing auto config settings stops for a while but then pops up again

There is likely something on the contact that is completing the circuit like someone was pressing the button. Remove the covering and expose the circuit board with the contacts bare and clean with any non corrosive component cleaner. I use rubbing alcohol. Humidity is also an issue if you have the newer touch tech buttons. Gently rub the surface with a dry cloth and remove any moisture, oil or debris from the surface of the buttons.

Make sure to also clean the button backs and anything between the button and contact face on the board. Replace parts and check the fix. If the problem persists it may be an issue with the Main Control Board for your monitor. Component damage or voltage problems will cause similar issues and should be explored by a TV repair technician or warranty to your distributor; as it is likely a failing switch which will have to be soldered off and a new component put on.

I work from a Acer Ferrari 4000 laptop and use to be connected to a Acer AL707 monitor for a while now but ever since my laptop went in for a new hardrive my monitor gives me a message "Input not...

suzie_q971, You may need to find AL707 driver and download /install it to see if that fixes problem. Software may have been corrupted when new drive was installed on your laptop. Could also be "screen resolution" settings were altered by the technician when doing the laptop repair. If all else fails to work, return unit with monitor and have the tech have a look at it and tell him it worked with the al707 external monitor before. 12fixlouie

Monitor does not work

sounds like a slightly damaged power supply. try powering up with an equivalent supply. if only an ac wall cord is plugged in for power, then internal supply is at fault
