Did you un-install skype before downloading the newest? if not uninstall both skype and the webcam drivers. then install skype first if you have win 7 or vista just plug in your webcam and it should find basic drivers to work right off the bat, if not then download the drivers make sure you are downloading the right drivers if you have a 64 bit system and your downloading 32bit drivers that could be it to check go to computer system properties and it will tell you 32bit or 64bit visa win 7 only
