Here are the specs for your speaker.

  • Dual 4 Ohms Nom. Impedance
  • Fs: 40Hz, Qms:5.0, Qes: 0.90, Qts: 0.75, SPL: 84(dB), Vas: 5.204(Cuft)
  • That should help you design a good box.

  • The eight terminals are actually 4 with double slide ons for each. Each side has a + (positive)
and a - (negative) with 2 connectors at each connection point.
It is a dual voice coil thus 2 sets of inputs.
If you have a 4 ohm amplifier then you are ready to go with a left to one side's terminal and a right amp output going to the other. If you have 2 speakers this can get wild because you can run them in parallel
or series and reduce the impedance to 2 ohms if your amp is 2 ohm stable. If not-dont do it!
You will burn the amp up. See #58 on the right sidebar of this site. It will teach you how to get the most
from your setup. Bookmark the site. It has every kind of knowledge you need for audio or electricity.
Look for the DVC (dual voice coil) info.
"The image below shows the DVC speaker wired to both channels of a stereo amplifier. Each channel of the amplifier drives a 4 ohm load. " This looks like what you have to do.

I need to wire 2 12" DVC Lanzar MAXP124D to an 8 ohm load. Had it wired at a 2 ohm setting and it would over heat my amp. So tried to wire it to 8 and it wouldn't work. Need help.Thanks.

Your 8ohm channel is fried why happened was you ran 2 12s in an 8ohm load and turned it down to 2ohms the speakers was pulling all the power and that made it over heat and when it over heated it fried you're amp. It ain't no good you can't fix that

    Replace subwoofer 2001 chevrolet suburban

Should be a standard 8" sub, located in the passenger rear side. Remove the plastic interior body panel, the sub will be located behind. Remove the 6-or-so screws holding it in, disconnect the wires, making note of which wire connected to which terminal. Connect the wires to the new subwoofer, replace screws in new sub. Test the audio system to make sure everything is working properly, and re-install the plastic interior cover panel.

I have a orion xtr 2150 and a hcca 10.4 what is the best way to wire this combo?

Hello. Quick answer...bad sub and amp combo due to fact that your sub needs a lot more power than this amp can produce (I'll explain later). But here is how you can do it: You can wire this dual 4 ohm sub in parallel or series. Parallel wiring would be to wire two the positive terminals on the sub to each other and wire two the negative terminals on the sub to each other. Thus wiring down the sub to 2 ohm. This what the amp would see. Series wiring would be to wire the positive and negative terminals on the same side of the sub to each other. Then wire the positive and negative terminals on the other side to the amp. Thus wiring the sub to 8 ohm. This what the amp would see. Illustrations can be found here: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=42#results

Your sub specs are 1500 watts rms (how many watts your sub needs to operate efficiently or its minimum requirement. It has the a peak wattage at 3000 watts that it can accept in short duration. Your amp can only produce 300 to 600 watts at 2 or 4 ohm respectively. So you would be greatly under powering the sub which would produce a weak unfulfilled sound. You need an amp that produces a true 1200 to 1800 watts rms. There is a great selection out there.

How to connect HIFONICS BXI 2607 D watt at 1 ohm....

That's dependent on your subwoofers. You will need 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired in Parallel, a single dual 2 ohm subwoofer wired in parallel, a single dual .5 ohm wired in series. Or something similar.

    Need proper wiring details.

This is a dual 4 ohm sub. By wiring the terminals in series (one set of + to - from one side to the other) you will have an 8 ohm sub (most folks probably don't want this). By wiring in parallel (+ to + and - to - and connect the - wire to the - terminal on your amp and the + wire to the + terminal on your amp you'll have a 2 ohm sub.

How to wire 2 ohm 2 12ich alpine type r's to box terminals?

Dual 4 ohm subwoofers can only be wired @ 1 ohm, 4 ohm or 8 ohm.
2 ohm mono load is not possible.
You will need to use (1) subwoofer to get the 1000W out of the amp.
Wire both positives on one sub to + on amplifier and both - on the same sub to - on amplifier to give the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Add a second amplifier, or buy an amplifier that is 1 ohm mono stable.
You can wire both to the amplifier at 4 ohms 600W, but they will share the power and only see 300W ea.

How should I wire up this amp and sub

The amp's not actually a very good match for the sub, since the sub can be wired for 2 ohms or 8 ohms, and the amplifier is most efficient at 4 ohms in bridged mode. My advice would be to wire the amp in bridged mode, and wire the sub for an 8 ohm load. To do this, the amp's (+) wire should go to the (+) terminal on one of the sub's voice coils. Then run a wire from the (-) terminal on the OTHER voice coil to the (-) terminal on the amp. The remaining (+) and (-) terminals (on opposite voice coils) should be connected to each other with a wire. Your original wiring setup had the amplifier connected to only one voice coil, while the other voice coil was shorted.

    SOUND Q SERIES
    DUAL 6-OHM CONFIGURATION
Accommodating the rising trend of triple-subwoofer applications, Audiobahn’s Sound Q subwoofers come in dual 6-ohm configurations. This allows three Sound Q subwoofers to be wired in a 1- or 4-ohm operation. You now have the option to use a wider range of amplifiers to fit the needs of your specific application.

    MULTI-CONNECT LUG LOCK TERMINALS
Audiobahn’s patented Multi-Connect Lug Lock Terminals offer increased versatility in wiring multiple subwoofers to an amplifier or to another voice coil. Multi-connect terminals allow you to use single wire connections in each terminal rather than combining multiple wires into one terminal. This feature allows you to use a full 8-gauge wire in each terminal.

The Link below should answer all your questions.
Also remember to try to keep the lengths of the jumpers the same. I would make all the connections inside the box then use the teminal block of the box to connect to the amp.
Keep in mind that you can only get 1 Ohm if you use 3 woofers.
Your configuration allows for 1.5 Ohm
