To conserve your batteries, most of these mouse types have a "sleep mode". If it has, you need to press the scroll wheel or a side button to wake it up after being idle for a short time. Make sure your bluetooth receiver is not obscured by anything and perhaps re-pair it again to realign the frequency.
check batterys to make sure there placed in mouse properly.try other usb ports.Batterys may be bad from factory.try some other rechargeables in it.if you have a charger for rechargeable batterys place the batterys in that and see if they charge.if they do then your pc is not charging them correctly/
Try to check whether the switch in the battery compartment is switch to 2.4 or Bluetooth? If it is switch to Bluetooth try to switch to 2.4 and remember to switch on the power of the mouse.
THE MFG MAY HAVE A CERTAIN BATTERY REQUIRMENT, NEED TO GO LINE AND LOOK UP THAT INFORMATION, DEPENDING ON THE MFG AND THE BATTERY COMPANY THEY WANT YOU TO USE IF YOU DONT USE THERE BATTERY REQUEST THAN YOU WILL END UP BUYING A NEW KEYBOARD OR MOUSE WHEN THE BATTERIES RUN LOW.
LOOK FOR A LITTLE PIN HOLE ON THE BOTTUM OF THE MOUSE ALSO EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY YOU LOOSE THE FREQUENCE THE MOUSE USES, SO DEPRESS THE BUTTON UNTIL THE COMPUTER SAYS IT HAS FOUND A NEW PIECE OF HARDWARE, THAN THE MOUSE SHOULD WORK FINE.
GO ON LINE AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY NEW UPDATE FOR THE MOUSE
you can turn off and on the Bluetooth and try it out. If not you might want to check your battery status.
