My bluetooth laser mouse was working fine except the batteries were running low. They finally expired today and I installed new batteries. However, my computer will not recognize the mouse.

To conserve your batteries, most of these mouse types have a "sleep mode". If it has, you need to press the scroll wheel or a side button to wake it up after being idle for a short time. Make sure your bluetooth receiver is not obscured by anything and perhaps re-pair it again to realign the frequency.

I use a MAC g4 with a logitec v470 connected by bluetooth. It has worked fine. It has new batteries. When I turn it on the blue light comes on for two seconds and then goes off.

Things to check:

MOUSE
1. That the Bluetooth is synchronised with your MAC.

MAC
1. That the Bluetooth is turned ON.
2. Discoverable is enabled.

Let me know how you go, if this doesn't solve the problem and I will assist you further. Regards,

THE MFG MAY HAVE A CERTAIN BATTERY REQUIRMENT, NEED TO GO LINE AND LOOK UP THAT INFORMATION, DEPENDING ON THE MFG AND THE BATTERY COMPANY THEY WANT YOU TO USE IF YOU DONT USE THERE BATTERY REQUEST THAN YOU WILL END UP BUYING A NEW KEYBOARD OR MOUSE WHEN THE BATTERIES RUN LOW.

LOOK FOR A LITTLE PIN HOLE ON THE BOTTUM OF THE MOUSE ALSO EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY YOU LOOSE THE FREQUENCE THE MOUSE USES, SO DEPRESS THE BUTTON UNTIL THE COMPUTER SAYS IT HAS FOUND A NEW PIECE OF HARDWARE, THAN THE MOUSE SHOULD WORK FINE.

GO ON LINE AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY NEW UPDATE FOR THE MOUSE

Bluetooth mouse not working

you can turn off and on the Bluetooth and try it out. If not you might want to check your battery status.
Another option could be to re-pair it to the BT.
