What make and model camera? Have you considered NOT connecting your camera to your computer? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Try using a memory card reader instead of plugging the camera in directly. This will let you upload photos to the computer without having to worry about drivers.

If you go to the Veo website and look under the support section you will be able to search your product and download a driver for your operating system. A vista driver will also work for windows 7 so if the company website only lists a vista driver it will work for windows 7.

Whenever I film movies on my Samsung L200 and I try to upload them on my computer, I can't view them on my computer, though I can see them on my camera. On my computer, they just come up as sound bytes. I...

first of all , get the latest support software and drivers for your gadget / camera from the company website . log on to the company support or downloads page , find your model and download all what the website offers . esp download where it says " camera suite " or " drivers " or any thing related to the concerned camera . download it , install it , restart your pc , connect the camera to the pc and then turn it on . and see .
remember to uninstall any previous support softwares you have already installed , before installing the new one .
if you cannot find any support on the website , try installing the camera suite from a CD which came along with the product . after uninstalling the previous version .
if still you cannot find any support software for the camera , just connect the camera to the computer and go to this path --- start > my computer > ( right click on my computer ) > manage > in the window that opens , click on device manager > look for your connected camera ( it will be shown as a connected hardware )> double click where it mentions your camera > click on update drivers > click on , let windows search for the best driver .
and now wait ,,, the windows will automatically search for the best drivers for your hardware and install them .

sometimes , the problem lies in the Codecs required for the files to run . especially because , the video files recorded by camera are in some formats which are not easily recognized by windows on default. for this yoy have to install a codes package on your pc . download and install -- Sharks codecs pack or k-Lite codecs pack on your machine . google them , they are quite famous and safe and malware free . download the one for your version of OS , i.e. XP or Vista or 7 and whether it is a 32bit or 64 but system .
they are safe and will not harm your pc .
restart your system after installing them , connect your camera and then see ..
hope it helps ....

I had the same problem with my HP when l put vista on it and overcame that problem with using my XP driver. It worked for me no harm in trying your XP driver.

Install a parallel pci card on Windows 7

If Windows 7 doesn't automatically detect it and install the drivers, browse the company's website for Vista drivers. If that fails, search Google with your model and drivers on the end. Aside from those solutions you may have to get a new card. Hope it helps!

Trust 320 spacecam on windows vista

Sadly it looks like Trust camera does not work with Vista, however there no harm pluging the camera and letting Vista look for a driver by telling it to use the net, http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=13178&cxt=drivers

Downgrade to Windows XP.

Due to the fact of the many people that wish to downgrade to Windows XP, many computer distribution companies keep current driver software that is compatible with the various Windows OSes. I checked the Toshiba website for drivers for the Satallite A205-S5809 and they have drivers for WIndows XP, XP SP2/SP3, Vista 32-bit, and Vista 64-bit. They have all the drivers you should need to make the changeover. I hope this helps.

You must check the package to ensure that the program is windows vista compatable. Please do note that Vista does have its own back software embedded. Simply type into the start search bar on the start menu backup and recovery.
