Question about HP Wireless Optical Mouse

1 Answer

I just bought this HP wireless comfort mouse on the 16th of Jan. this year. The problem now is - the optic laser is not turning on (as it should be red when it's turn on) and i can't control the browser, it just doesn't go where I direct it to go.

Thanks to Fanaudi for the solutions you had given me. I tried them but none of them work. My mouse still has no red optic laser when it's on, and the cursor isn't working well...

Hello artpablo34
Solution one : press the connect button at the back of the mouse .
Solution two : replace battery .
solution three : check the usb connection of the receiver and make sure it's placed in a reachable sector for the mouse .
Best regards ,
fanaudi

Check that the receptor end is firmly placed in the USB port.

Bring the mouse close to the receptor and see if works then.

Mine does that also. Usually it is because one of both have gone into sleep mode and both haven't woke up. I click on the left and right mouse buttons and it usually comes right up.

HP Wireless Optical Mouse Fading

Ref wireless mouse. Not sure if you have a solution yet but it seems there could be 2 sources to the problem. First a weak or decaying laser. Second, something you have introduced recently that could interfere with the wireless signal eg mobile phone, another wireless device, cordless phone, telephone wires close to receiver or maybe something else. Not sure what you do if the laser is failing other than clean the lens. You might have to get it checked or try a friends mouse to see if it is better. There s also a setting than can change the sensitivity of the mouse. Have you looked at those settings.
