Question about Sony MDR-V700DJ Professional Headphones
Sony has great customer support for their products, to match the headphones should be under warranty if they were bought around Christmas.
Simple visit: https://eservice.sony.com/webrma/web/index.do
Once there enter the product information (the model number is going to be "MDR-V700DJ"), date of purchase, and your zip code. From there you can request a replacement or a repair for your headphones.
While I do not know if you registered your product or not, it may help in the future in regards to product warranty as it allows the manufacturer to more easily look up your information. Sony's product registration page can be found here: https://productregistration.sel.sony.com/app/home.htm
