SOURCE: Portable air conditioner - with HUMIDIFYING option

I've actually had a great deal of customers of mine that were interested in a cooling unit that offered a humidifying option. Most of the standard models out on today's market offer the exact opposite. I work for ABS Air Conditioning in Clearwater, Florida. Up until recently, we had not offered such models but due to overwhelming requests we decided to introduce several models to our line, and I must add, with great success. I've built up some personal experience with such units as well as my staff. If you're interested in learning more about the practicality and operation of humidifying units I'd be more than happy to share with you what I know. I can be reached at 727-608-1251

Self Evaporating is not working. Have to empty constantly. What is wrong and can it be fixed?

if this is a free standing unit, is it possible that you have it set to de-humidifier mode. This mode specifically draw moisture from the air and does require the machine to be emptied.

There are usually three settings
Air Conditioning
De-humidifier
Blower

U4 System transmission between indoor and outdoor units Daikin

Sounds like an interconnecting wiring error. Check wiring connection i.e. wires are connected in right order 1 to1 2 to 2 etc. from indoor terminal board to outdoor terminal board. Also check for slack or loose connections.
Hope this helps I take the time to answer your question so please rate me

Can one disable/turn off the de-humidify function on the LG art cool picture aircon?

Dehumidification is one of the main jobs of an air conditioner. It is not possible to run an air conditioner, and not have it remove humidity. The short answer to your question is no, you can not disable or turn off the "de-humidify" option, as it is not an "option". Hope this helps.

I HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT THE SYMBOLS/MODE FOUND ON THE AIRCON REMOTE CONTROL 'SCREEN' REPRESENT eg COOL, DRY MODE ETC.

Page 6 of this pdf has more of the basic instructions.
The order of the symbols on the left hand window mean:
(6 sided circle)Cool, (Raindrop)Dry, ((Arrows in square)Auto, (Fan)Fan,(Sun) Heat.
