Hi

Error code LE indicates that either the motor is not turning or has locked up for some reason. It can also be due to Hall sensor which monitors direction and speed of the motor. If the sensor is faulty then also this error appears. Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor. To make sure it's not a locked motor, try turning the drum with your hand. And, if there is any resistance while turning the drum or the drum doesn't move freely then the motor is locked and you'll need to get it replaced. If the motor seems to be fine then you would need to replace the Hall Sensor. To replace the hall sensor, take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

LE LIGHT IS APPEAR

Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.

Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.

Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.

Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.

Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

What does the LE flashing mean? Water won't drain out of washer.

LE means that the motor sensor has failed and needs a technician to come out and repair the unit. To remove the water, turn on the unit, press the spin speed button once and press start. It will drain the water out and spin the drum.

Washer has a LE (or EE) code or something like that. First character looks like an E missing the top bar, or an L with an extra bar in the middle. i was doing a load of towels when this happened. i assumed...

Washing machine has an LE error code
Is this a new installation? In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

LE code comes on-I followed tip of turning wm off and retrying 1/2 hr later. Ran spin only to drain h2o, then ran rinse & spin cycle only-h2o would fill, unit won't spin-code LE comes on. Any hints? ...

Had the same problem myself. The LE code is a motor fault and I found the rotor magnets and stator coils to have areas with thick layers of oxidation. I removed both and cleaned with a wire brush but with the stator it should be the top end that the rotor magnets face so don't take the wire brush to the copper windings. Apparently at some point my washer was leaking at the water supply connections and although this was a very small leak overtime it adds up and it happens to drip directly above the rotor. I sealed the open edges of the water supply box with electrical tape to prevent water from dripping in just in case it ever leaks again.

What does "IE" mean when it attempts spin cycle?

is it IE or LE please confirm it. if it is LE code the fixing procedure is given below This usually happens if you're washing on a delicate setting with a moderate load of clothes. Apparently, delicate also means very few items to wash. To clear the LE code - no need to unload the clothes:
1. Press the power button to turn the washer off.
2. Press the power button to turn the washer back on.
3. Cycle the spin cycle selection to 'no spin'.
4. Press start.
The washer should set to one minute, lock the doors, then drain out the excess water.
Once the 'End' cycle comes up, unplug the machine for several minutes.
Plug the washer back in, press the power button, then set the washer to 'normal' with 'low' spin setting.
Note that the only difference between the normal setting and delicate is the wash time and spin cycle speed. If you have a moderate to large load of delicates, use the normal setting on low spin cycle. The clothes really don't care. Also, make sure you're using 'HE' detergent - low suds. Regular degergent in a front load is not recommended.

LG front load machine with LE code and no spin

LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time this is just a bad hall sensor (motor position sensor). It is very easy for a technician to replace and the cost is very small.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

LE error code

The LE error code can be an indication of several different issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire or a dislodged ball sensor. Good luck!
