My Hp Pavilion Laptop says: 0% available (plugged in, charging)
Unfortunatelly, not much you can do!
Most likely it is up to the battery.
Such things are not unusual. My friends laptop battery died at once (just like yours) in about two weeks after he bought it. Fortunately, it was under warranty and battery was replaced with a new one..
Normally it takes time the batteries come weaker, but even then, they can keep laptop running for some short time (seconds to minutes).
The laptop battery is made of a group of batteries, (maybe six or nine) and it is possible that only one of them is completelly dead. That makes a break in the battery circuit, means no other battery can be loaded with power, and that's why you don't have a second of battery power.
You may try two things:
First unplug the power and unplug the battery. Check if some dirt, dust or corrosion is on the contacts of the battery or contacts on the laptop.
If so, carefully try to clean it, and then try to charge.
Other thing you can try is to go to the shop you bought your laptop (or any other shop) and ask them if they have one on stock, to check if your laptop will work (even for seconds).
If so, than you have to buy a new battery.
At the end, please DO NOT OPEN your battery. Nothing you will find inside. Replacement of the batteries inside will NOT WORK !
