Question about Whirlpool Refrigerators
The freezer is probaly not working either but this is noticed in the refrigerator first, the first thing i would do is clean the condensor coils, you are going to have to defrost the evaporator also. It could be possible that the defrost timer or the defrost heater is not working right, but try defrosting the coil and clean the condensor coils. thanks

drain line is clogged. when the frig defrosts the water drains through a tube down to the bottom of the frig near the compressor where it evaporates away. look on the back of the unit to see if the tube runs down the back. follow it to the end. you need to blow backwards through that tube. let me know if this helps.

Check to make sure freezer fan blowing & fan by compressor, No blockage in supply or return vents, Look in freezer to make sure NO frost is coming thought indicating defrost problem

Hi check to see if the unit has 2 compessors! If so then remove the plug from the mains and remove the thermostat housing in the fridge compartment and join the live and common wires together and switch on! It then should start to freeze down. Just get a new stat if this happens and replace it. Becarefull not to bent the log capilary wire as this has a liquid in it and any kink in the wire will mean you will be buy another one..

I had a similar problem on the same model. Ice creams were soft & frozen food not ice cold. I opened the freezer. Removed the food & noticed the evaporator fan at the back was not turning. This is the likely cause of poor cooling in the freezer. I got it running by turning the fan with a screwdriver but replaced the fan soon after!!!
