Hi Keynan, there does not seem to be anything inside of the camera to hold focusing screen in place any other suggestions? Can the part you speak of be bought and where?

Hi again!

No, no additional parts needed! It will be held in place using the built-in focusing screen's lock...

Regards,
Pelu.

Focusing a webcam that is out of arms reach

Focusing a web cam that is out of arms reach

If your webcam has focus control in the operating software, then this topic may be a little confusing. But for some folks, me being one, the web cam has to be focused by turning a dial on the front of the camera. What's the big deal? The big deal is if you can't reach the camera from where you are sitting and you need to stand and/or lean and reach forward, then how do you focus on you if you're not where you need to be?

Assuming that your camera is normally positioned on top of your monitor directly in front of you. Here's what you can do. Sit in your normal position, take the webcam and hold it against your chest and aim it at the monitor. Adjust the focus until the preview image that is displayed on the monitor is clear. Then when you place the cam back in it's normal position, and aim it at you, the image should still be in focus.

If your cam is built-in, like the ones that come with many laptops, they usually have auto focus. But if it doesn't, you have no choice but to hold the entire laptop in front of you. In that case, use a mirror that has a stand, an place it where the laptop normally is placed. You can then focus the cam on the image in the mirror.

Happy Camming

Kodak carousel 760h projector

The auto-focus system in Kodak slide projectors is really an auto-measurement system: One set manually, the system is supposed to maintain that distance on all subsequent slides. Correct orientation of the slides is that they are all placed in the slide tray in the SAME direction (the matte side of the transparency facing toward the screen). The measurement is from the FRONT of the slide transparency to the BACK of the projection lens. REPAIR calibration of the system requires 2 special tools: a RANGE SLIDE and a TARGET SLIDE. These tool slides and the calibration procedure SHOULD be available from: www.micro-tools.com They purchased all remaining repair parts from Kodak when Kodak stopped supporting slide projectors. Good Luck !! Jim

How do i find the focus frame?

If you switched on the camera, and the camera is setup correct, the screen on the back is your focus frame. When the camera is in Auto mode there is a square in the middle of the screen, formed by four corners. That is the place the camera will focus on.
You can read everything about focus in the manual, that is still available online.
Sorry I can't place the link, because I forgot where I got mine.

Hello, I need to know how to set MANUAL FOCUS. I can set Macro and MacroS. ie: the flower and flower with S. Thank you for any reply.

Hold down the OK button for more than one second. When the focus selection screen appears, press cursor-left to select MF. Use cursor-up/down to focus. Hold down OK for at least one second to save the setting.

This is from the "Manual focus" section in the manual (page 73 in my copy).

Need to purchase a SCREEN FOCUS BLOCK. Where could I buy it.

Hi, this will probably **** you off but here goes anyway, That part can be purchased from on line parts places but my advice to you is "leave it to a tv tech". The part will NOT come adjusted to your tv, it has to be wired in correctly or you WILL damage your tv big time, once installed the set has to be turned on and all 6 controls WILL have to be adjusted, your dealing with a high voltage device and it can kill you if you handle it incorrectly once powered on, in other words you will probably never get it adjusted right and it`s dangerous to do by a non tech, just trying to help you out here, video-tek

Logitech quickcam deluxe won't focus

Keep turning the focus dial until it will focus. The focus dial may need to be turned several times in one direction or the other. If the Lens has come off its focusing track inside the camera, you'll need to take it apart and place the lens back on the track. The track are grooves, like a screw, that holds the lens for focusing.

Focusing screen fell out

There is like a metal cradle inside the camera in the roof that flips down. The Focusing screen is to be placed in the roof of the camera with the small tab facing OUT of the camera. The Cradle then lifts upwards and clicks in.

do not touch the main part of the focusing screen. Try only to touch the tab

Focusing screens get damaged easy
