How to replace gas vent on huaqvarna 51 chainsaw

Disassembly
The fuel tank vent is located on the right side of the fuel
tank next to the right rear rubber element. With the fuel
tank empty and the fuel hose disconnected at the
carburetor, remove the two rear rubber elements. Separate the rear of the crankcase and the fuel tank enough to expose the fuel tank vent. Working through the fuel filler opening, grasp the fuel tank vent tube with a pair of needle nose pliers. Push the vent out the other side.
For access to the right side rubber elements, first remove the chain brake cover, bar, chain, chain catcher and cover plate.
For access to the left side rubber elements, remove the starter housing.

Assembly
Install the fuel tank vent using a drift the same diameter
as the vent tube. The remainder of assembly is the
reverse of disassembly.

PDoes the gas cap on a Poulan 25 CVA countervibe keep the engine from cranking

if the cap is a vented cap then yes it can. to check this start machine and when it starts to fail release the pressure by loosening your fuel cap. if this helps it run better then replace cap. if this doesn't help then check if you have a tank vent that is plugged. a tank vent usually looks like a button with five or six holes in the top and it will be on the fuel tank

09 ultra started vsmelling fuel when you turn off

Every fuel tank must have a vent on it. If not, it would form a vacuum inside as the fuel was used and eventually fuel would cease to flow. On Calfornia models, the fuel vapors that escape from the tank while it's sitting stll are drawn into to vapor canister. On bikes built for the "lower 48" are simply vented to outside on most models. If you fill the tank to capacity, usually the fuel odors are stronger than if the tank is less than completely full. I'd trace out the vent and find out if there was a problem there.

Looking for manual for Poulan countervibe 3700 What is the oil to fuel ratio?

IAW with specifications here (40:1 - 1 gallon of premium fuel to 3.2 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil)
http://www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/ed1d619968136da688256af40002b8f7/00c68f320e8e63ba88256bf80016a58c?OpenDocument

The OM for a 3700 is not loaded. Please try here:

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL suppliers recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 1gal premium/4oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

Fuel Tank isn't venting. Engine will die down and

Look at the fuel cap, locate the breather hole in it and clean it so there is no obstruction or just replace the cap. You didn't give any sort of model number so I can't look at it and tell exactly where the venting is done but it is normally through a tiny pin hole in the top of the cap
