My camera inclusive does not turn on .when I got it in the store was fine and I sent it as a gift to Mexico,unfortunatelly did not work properly. it was too bad.what can I do ? throw it away.... what about my money ? actually it is not fair ,it is a real fraud. please do not offer garbage to the people. I am very upset for this sale without warranty control against the law promises.

You will normally need the original receipt, a gift receipt, or the original order information. Contact your brother or the company that sold or manufactures the item.

Have you tried contacting the vendor who sent you the wrong manual?

If your friend paid by credit card then it would be on his or her statement, and the store would also have a record of transaction. The only drawback is if he or she paid cash, but I would still press the store for action, you might just get somewhere. The camera is clearly a manufacture defect and I can not offer a solution, but the digital camera is bad enough you should try and get an exchange.

Well if your FARMVILLE gift box already has 30 gifts then it will not store any further and eventually the extra gifts will be lost. Even I have lost many gifts like this.

Before acceptin gifts, I make sure to emply ny gift box.

The paper that came with it when it shipped to you is most likely a BestBuy.com invoice. You can bring the camera to a Best Buy™ store and they can return the purchase, but the funds will go back to whatever form of payment was used to purchase it. Since you said this was a gift I am assuming the funds will go back to the purchasers Credit Card. I would talk to the person who gave it to you and they should be able to exchange the camera for you as long as you are within the return/exchange period. I hope this helps!

I had same problem. Took it to photo store who sent it to Canon. They returned the camera stating liquid damage, would cost more to repair than to buy new one. I figured what the heck and sprayed WD 40 in the battery compartment. It turned on but wouldn't zoom. Sprayed it again and more worked. After the 3rd spraying it works like new and has for 9 months.

Sent it back under warranty- this has an internal fault.

The shutter is jammed closed. This blocks the light from reaching the image sensor. This problem can generally be fixed without parts, price will be $100-150 for labor from a professional. Depending on the purchase price of the camera, you may be better off getting a new camera.

if you find any friction or noisy movement of lense assembly while switching on the camera, its probably fine sand particals stucked in ths lense assembly. pls do not try to operate or fix the problem as it would be needing thorough cleaning by an expert.
