The user/owner manual tells a little about cleaning the coils but does not give a step by step possibly because every drain blockage is caused by many different senario's. You can begin here=> Leaking Refrigerators, Just What may be Happening And on this page=> Leaking Refrigerator's?
here is a PDF=> KSRS25QAWH01 Owners Manual and a KSRS25QAWH01 Parts Manual
There are a lot of material and reasons on the Leaking Refrigerators page. Remember safety first and unplug your appliance before working on or using water near electrical components and near base to examine the condensate collection tray you will need to remove the lower cover on back of your appliance taking care not to break an existing ice maker and water dispenser supply line as you move refrigerator away from wall to work on. If this is helpful please rate these solutions and should you have questions I will be here to answer, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Water pooling in bottom of refrigerator....need to know where drain is in freezer to see if line is clogged

Hi

Thanks for your question at Fixya,

Please find the solution to your problem as follows :-

  • This problem is caused due to a plugged drain line you should check the coils at the back of your refrigerator, if you check this drain line and then either clean it with a cable like a bike's accelerator cable or just pour hot water in this line to just the clogging removed and it will work fine for you
  • Just check after throwing away the water from the bottom if it comes back after cleaning with a cable or pouring hot water.

Hope this helps ...:) In case you have any queries , feel free to contact me.

Water leaking from bottom front of refrigerator

you don't say whether this is a top mount freezer side by side or what but the most common problem is a blocked defrost drain. you'll have to locate this drain and clean it out. this drain is located underneath evaporator coils in the freezer. every day the refrigerator defrosts and water runs out the drain into a pan in the bottom of the refrigerator where is evaporates.

also make sure you don't have a pin hole or other leak in an ice maker line .

Kenmore top mount refrigerator auto defrost is pooling water below vegetable bin and not in the defrost tray. lines are not plugged

the drain in the freezer is plugged, you need to remove the inside freezer wall and melt out the ice and clean out the drain line,i use a steamer to blow out the line, when you think you have it cleaned out pour hot water down the drain,if it goes down then you know it's clear, also there's a heater probe you can buy that connects to the heater and you stick the other end of probe down the drain hole so it can't freeze up again

There is water collecting at the bottom of the refrigerator under the vegetable bins.

you have a clogged defrost drain located in the freezer,u can shut the refrigerator off with doors open for 24 hours to allow the drain inlet to thaw on its own,if problem reoccurs within 1 week chances are you will need a technician to install a drain heater kit

Refrigerator keeps defrosting and depositing water in fridge.

if your food is staying cold your fridge is working fine, you probably have a blocked drain.you will find water under criper draws and maybe leaking out on floor, take off the back freezer wall and take out floor, melt out the drain and remove all the ice on freezer floor, now you have to clean out the drain,i use a steamer that you can buy for like 40 bucks,it's a shark super steamer,it will clean out all the slime that builds up in the drain line or you have to snake out the drain line with a plastic tie or something, when you think you cleaned out the line pour hot water into the drain and if the water goes down you know you unclogged it,you can buy a heater probe that installs down the drain and wraps around the heater so the line can't freeze up again,if this is not your problem you can advance the timer in the fridge side on the ceiling by turning it with a screw driver until it comes out of defrost and if it was sticking or not coming out of defrost on it's own change the timer the new part number for your timer is 2183400 hope this helps

Water on the inside floor of refrigerator

The freezer line will be the one that dumps water into a tray next to compressor where it evaporates. You need to take off the back panel of the freezer compartment to access the freezer drain. It will be a hole located below the coils and may be clogged with food matter and/or ice. A vacuum cleaner works great for this. Hope this helps
