How many wired and wireless computers do you have ion the network.
Do you have any wired computer ?
Connect your laptop to the router with the Ethernet cable and try to access Internet. See if the wired connection is working or not.
If the wired connection is working then I think you will need to check the wireless settings of the router and the laptop.

There are many possible reasons why you can't connect to the internet and answering these questions might help narrow down your problem.

1. Are you trying to connect to the internet wirelessly or with a wire?
2. If you are connecting wirelessly, are you connected to any wireless network or did you enter the encryption key correctly?
3. If you can't detect any wireless network then check if the wireless function of your laptop is enabled or not. That can be found as a slide switch at the side of your g550.

Try "rebooting" your internet. If it's fed through a router, disconnect the power to the router, as well as all of the connections, then reconnect them. Re-connect the power last.
Also, try moving closer to the source of your wireless internet. Sometimes the Dsi won't pick up on the signal because it has a weaker wireless receiver than a computer or most devices that will connect.

Try resetting the network adapter.

On the bottom right hand side of the desktop you will see the wireless icon, right click on that ans click on troubleshoot problems. This will reset the adapter and assign an IP address for your your PC.

When its done try to connect to the internet.

Check they have'nt both got the same IP address. Is this related to last problem, did you get the wireless card working wirelessly online?
