Ill give you a lesson....Water and electricity dont mix!!! HAHAHAHA

Dont worry try to fix it yourself assuming that the warranty is out of date. simply remove the cover and check if any of the soldering (metal) has fried. if this has occured then your system is screwed...Good luck!

My phone got wet....wont turn on. Any suggestions or is it fried?

Hi,
The best thing to do with a wet phone is to not even try to turn it on...then place it in a bag of dry minute rice for at least a few days... check the rice...if it becomes moist, then change it and keep the phone in it until it draws the moisture out of the phone...after the phone is completely dry then try to turn it on...

Disk is clean and all, but when I turn it on, its starts fine until the little box finish making the Game Cube Icon and then start turning and goes straight to my memory card. I can hear the cd running but...

Your Gamecube's laser may be dirty. Try this:

Grab a cotton swab (A Q-Tip), and some rubbing alcohol. Lightly wet one end of the cotton swab with the rubbing alcohol and open up your Gamecube's disk tray. LIGHTYLY rub the wet end of the cotton swab on the disks laser in a circular motion. The laser is the shiny part pointed to by red arrows in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/MAXRQ.png

Now leave it for a minute or two to dry and attempt to play a game again. If this doesn't work your problem may be an underlying hardware error that can't be solved without opening up and gutting your gamecube. Let's hope for the best though!

My gamecube does not spin the discs that i put into it and does not read them. Is there something i can do to fix this without having to buy a new one?

One time I ccidently touched the lens in my 10 year old gamecube so now the lens and the laser dont read the discs anymore because it is knocked out of anglement so you could buy a new gamecube now or buy a wii because wii's can still play gamecube disc's too.

Wont start

It is time to take the distributer cap off and dry out the inside. You can do this with a blow dryer or stand there and blow on it until it is completely dry. While you have it off check the contact points that the rotor spins and touches on the inside of the cap. If they are really corroded then its time to replace the cap and the rotor too. Let me know where we stand after you dry it out and if it cured it. Raz

I bought a gamecube online and it wont spin the disk

Sounds like you need the Gamecube sensor switch replaced. That is a small door device for detecting when the Gamecube DVD door or lid is closed allowing disc initiation to begin. When your Gamecube doesn't detect disk at all and simply continues the message: "Please insert a NINTENDO GAMECUBE DISC," this is the problem. You can test this by inserting a game disc, opening the Gamecube door, and then closing it. If the message "Please insert a NINTENDO GAMECUBE DISC" remains unchanged, and there is no spinning of the disk, then your GameCube lid closed door sensor is probably broken and should be replaced. You can search Google for Part GCPT032, or for GameCube Lid Closed Door Sensor.

An easy fix if you know how to open the Cube. It's cable simply plugs in, and it is held by one tiny screw.

A wet gamecube problem

try opening it up and then let it dry out then give it a good cleaning. then try it . also make sure that all of the AV cables(the colorful cords that plug into the TV ) are put in the right way.

Disc wont read and game won't spin

I Had The Same Problem! And I Have A Solution. Unscrew the top off and look inside.
there is the off and on switch on the opposite side to the right of it are 2 little switches, they have probably been displaced, they must be held back, the problem is they are running the disks around and it they aren't in the back they wont do anything. The Laser Should Be Cleaned using a Q-tip and Peroxide. Don't Use Too Much Just Clean Off The Laser, If That Doesn't Work, Its A Problem Inside The Machine, And is Extremely Hard To Fix, If Thats Your Problem, I Would Just Buy A New One For 99$ Rather Then Paying 80$ For Some Guy To Look At It And Say You Cant Fix It, If He Can Fix It, You Were Lucky, But If I Were You, I Wouldn't Take That Chance, Try What I Said, It Worked For Me, Now My Cube Is As Good As New. XD
I Really Hope This Has Helped You.

Just found this thread, **Never ever clean the lens with alcohol!** ever. most optical drive lenses are made of Polycarbonate these days and cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol will cause it to yellow and even crack. Use an *alcohol free* CD wipe wrapped around a Q-tip or use *alcohol free* lens cleaning fluid available from any opticians. If cleaning the lens *and disks* is no help make sure your disks are the same region as your cube, if they are then you are looking at a physical hardware problem. This can be as simple as a cable that's been jarred loose or as major as a dead drive/drive controller so where you go from here is down to whether you are confident enough to take you're cube apart or not? If you are re-post this to the premium forum, if not you need to check and see if your cube is still in warranty or not, it's not likely to be but this will depend where you are in the world, when you bought it and where you bought it from. Alternatively this may be a good excuse to buy a Nintendo Wii as the Wii will happily play your cube games and support your cube controllers/GBA connect cables/cube memory cards. The only Gamecube device the Wii will not support is the Gameboy player.
