Question about Philips 42PFL5332D 42 in. LCD Television
Can you still the pictures behind the bands? Did you have this problem before the caps went out? You may want to reseat the cables on the T-CON board also. Did you use low ESR type caps?

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

I would suggest you check the signal board for bad capacitors. These would also be the electrolytic type. Thanks for asking!
