Check that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder. The bobbin tension adjustment is the small screw in the plate on the bobbin case that the thread passes under as it comes off the bobbin and goes out.

Top tension thread shows little balls of thread bottom thread is good what can be done

The upper tension is too tight. The upper thread is pulling the bobbin thread up.

I can sew a few stitches did it all balls up at

Thread balling up in the bobbin case usually indicates that the TOP thread is mis-threaded (usually at the take up lever). Check with your manual for proper threading path.

Why does my thread ball up on the bottom side of my material when I try to sew?

Usually when your bottom thread is messed up, it is because your top thread is not threaded correctly.

I have a singer model 2200 inspo\iration sewing machine. The top stich sews perfect, but the bottom stich balls up.

Totally rethread your machine, then check your needle, put in new one if you haven't changed it in awhile or not sure if it is bent. Usually it is in the top threading for problems underneath. Also, make sure that you are using the same weight of thread top and bottom or else you can have problems. Good luck

Does anyone else have massive problems with tension on this machine too? The bobbin always balls up and the top is loopy and loose..I just want to sew!!

This problem can be from a couple of things, 1st you may not have it threaded right on top or bottom. 2nd the timing could be off

The top thread is so tight I can't pull it thru and the thread balls up on the bottom. I have tried adjusting it and can't get any thing solved.

If the thread balls up on the bottom of the fabric, USUALLY the upper tension is insufficient.

ALSO check for the correct threading both above and below and verify the needle is oriented correctely with the long groove toward you.

Upper thread balls up on the bottom. Makes a matt on the underside of garment.

If your thread messes up on the bottom then the problem lie in the top threadinbg of the machine.. Some how it is not thru the tension wheel like it needs to be. FYI.. Loops on the bottom fix the top.. Loops on the top, fix the bobbin.

Im pretty sure i have my singer 5525 threaded right but i think the bobbin is wrong but when i try to sew the top looks fine but the bottom is a thread mess an the thread keeps breaking

angle the bottom might be a mess but it is the top thread that
you see balled up .Pull the top thread and make sure there is tension on it ,if not check the thread is between the discs and there is nothing else between them .if this is ok there is something stopping the top thread from being pulled back up
through the needle plate to form a good stitch,if you can turn by hand and watch where it is catching you might be able to solve it.
