What are the issues with the unit and why are you questioning the damper door?
    Thanks....

Here is a link for the parts diagram for your controls. Highly unlikely the damper was bad three times.

Look at part number 22 on the prints link I have posted. It is called a thirmistor or temperature sensor.

It tells the control the temp in the fridge section which in turns opens and closes the damper door. Before changing anything else out change this part p/n 12002355 just splice the two wires together after cutting them off the old one. Will not matter how the wires are connected to one another.Part runs around $7.00

10 plus degrees colder in the back of refrigerator than the front

Denese Service Manual for your AFD2535DES is HERE and the test I need you to do may seem a little hard to do but feel we can identify the problem as either a=> 67003903 Air Damper or a 12002355 Thermistor You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these documents. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available as a free download. I also want you to remove the rear panel inside the back of your freezer and insure that no ice or frost buildup is causing the 67003903 Air Damper to be stuck in the open position. Testing/Check resistance across terminals on the two terminals on the 67003903 air damper. If no resistance across terminals replace damper control. Once you are able to download the Service Manual I will be here explain and to answer any question you have. Thanks, Sea Breeze

ATB2132ARQ amana refrigerator the refrigerator part is freezing on low setting, freezer part is ok

Carl has the compressor been running continuous? Also between the freezer and fresh food compartment you will have a damper control hiding behind the controls. Some have a lever arm that helps adjust the damper to reduce or increase airflow from freezer and it is possible that the damper has become stuck wide open or the lever arm that when you slide the arm to adjust damper has come loose from the damper. Click Here for large photo=> Amana ATB2132ARQ Controls If your thermostat will not turn off then we may have a problem with=> 63001358 Thermostat Control as it could be bad and out of calibration. This is an interesting problem and would like to know what you find and resolve the problem. If this solution is helpful please rate, if not ask until I can help you fix this. Freezing fresh food is not good so I will be here to assist you, Thanks, Sea Breeze

It sounds like your fridge has problem with the damper stuck open. The damper is in the top-back-center of the fresh food section. I can't tell by the pics I have how to get to it, but looks like it's simple to get to it - just remove the damper cover.
Check the damper for the ice buildup. Clean if needed. Unplug the fridge and check continuity on damper motor. Replace damper if no continuity.
Check the microswitch on the damper assembly. C on switch [where it connects to black wire] should make contact with NC [yellow/red] when button is not pressed, and C with NO [blue/red] should make contact when button is down).
With temp in the fresh food section so low, the damper should be closed, and if it isn't there should be power (110v ac) coming to the motor either continuously until it closes or for a short period of time within a few minutes after you try to set the temperature, can't tell by schematic. Unplug, connect your DMM in "volts ac" parallel to the damper motor (red and green/yellow wires), and plug fridge back in. If it does not show 110v immediately, set the DMM to show the maximum voltage registered, and leave in the fridge for 20-30 minutes, with doors closed. If there was 110v, and the damper is still open - replace damper. Otherwise it's very likely that the control board failed.

The freezer is cold but the fridge is 70 degrees. The fan is not blowing the cold air up to the fridge. Where is the fan located? Can I fix this myself with a little electrical background

If the freezer is good and does not have frost building on the rear wall the electric controled damper between the freezer may be frosted shut or defective. Part Number 67003903. Check that first Sea Breeze

Micro/convection stops every minute

This is a problem in one of the damper-related components, most likely the switch, but it may also be the motor or the damper door could be jammed.

The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller senses that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.

Many models stop after 59 seconds if there's a problem with the damper saystem.

See the attached sample photo for a typical damper assembly.

We have the applicable service manuals for your Sharp model and have uploaded them to our site here and here to help you.

You will need the
free Adobe Reader to view or print it.

The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics. You can also call them at 866-779-5835.

For the Amana, There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts for the Amana by entering your full model number here.

The Amana's damper switch is called "interlock switch" and is located at ref# 15 in drawing #5. The damper motor is ref # 22.

If a switch is all you need, we offer a universal type for only $5 postpaid which you can order here.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Amana Mod # ABB2223DEB Refrigerator

Try damper part number W10167268 from Whirlpool. They re-engineered the part, it's works different. Whirlpool issued a bulletin to servicers, but won't cover it under warranty (I have tried for many customers) "A bulletin is NOT a recall"
