Are you check the ice maker cycles fine? When you say "replaced several times", are you talking about "water valve"? Are you check that the water line is not frozen or clogged? The water dispenser works fine?

Additionaly, I suggest check this link with information about diagnostic tips: whirlpool.com/Service/FILE/4322658A.pdf

    I forgot to ask if you've tested the coil on the ice maker water valve;
mine was open and I took one off the old Whirlpool to replace it. You
can take the valve assembly loose at the rear lower left side of the
fridge (lower right looking at the back), unplug the coil (the white
plug on mine) and use a spare cord to run 120V across the coil and see
if water flows to the ice maker tube. Alternately you can check the
resistance of the coil; if I remember my good ones were between 3 to 5
ohms and the bad one had no continuity.

Unfortunately the parts suppliers only sell the assembly, but if
there are any used appliance salvage places around, these appear to be
pretty universal and may even be the same as used on washers and
    dishwashers.

Electrolux will not stop making ice.

Sounds like the ice level switch is either jammed on or is faulty.
Look for a flap of some kind that rests on the ice when it's made. Should be located at the back of the hopper.

Our ED5SHAXM ice maker is intermitant. It will make ice for several weeks and then suddenly stop making ice, the water flow to the ice maker stopes and the bin empties it's final time. Then weeks later it...

Either the freezer temperature is too high or the internal thermostat inside the ice maker is faulty.
The freezer temp must be 5 degrees or less for the ice maker to work correctly.
If the freezer checks out OK you will need to replace the ice maker.

WILL NOT MAKE ICE

Hi,

There are several different reasons that an Ice Maker will stop working. One is that the water valve has gone bad. It is a 120 volt valve that is at the back and bottom of the refrigerator, it is very simple to replace but you need to make sure that is the problem before you replace it. Another thing could be that the heater in the Ice Maker has gone bad, the timer motor could be bad, and there are other reasons but they all are not things that you can replace. And even if you could the parts that you would replace would cost more than a new Ice Maker.

I suggest you take out your old Ice Maker, which is not hard to do, two screws to loosen and an electric plug to unplug, then take it to someone that sells your brand of refrigerator and purchase a new one, should be around $125 to $150.

Hope this helps

Freezer and ice maker stopped working

Hi, Your problem will be fixed for a short time by defrosting the appliance but you really need to know why it is doing this? It could be several reasons for it! The main cause is that the defrost heaters have failed and so it does not deforst enough before it starts feeezing again causing the ice buid up again! Check them with a muti meter just to make sure. Let me know how you get on!

if the ben is full the beam will flash interpting the ice maker from making ice untill the level of ice drops down below the holes in the bin then it will make ice again
beam part number if needed is4389102 it comes as a kit with the emitter and reciever boards

pull the front cover off of the icemaker and see if the drive gear is broken (there are 2 tabs in the center of the gear make sure these arent twisted or broken as well) if so replace the module on the fron of the icemaker. if that checks fine check for frozen fill line..
