A couple of days ago this monitor was working. I've upgraded my computer and have installed a new graphics card on a new motherboard. Now, all I'm getting is an amber light and when I push gthe on/off button the monitor, all I get is the BENQ logo on a purple background then the monitor turns off again and displays a "No Signal Detected" message before it turns off. Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm going to change the cable between the monitor and the garphics card to see if it resolves the issue. Thanks.

The hardware that was upgraded was a new MSI P43 Neo-F Motherboard, Gigabyte GeForce 8400GS graphics card, new 860W Power Supply, 4 x 1G sticks of RAM. I have replaced the VGA cable between the monitor and the 8400GS card but that hasn't changed the situation. I'm still using the same CPU - P4 3.0GHz (LGA 775) on the new MSI Motherboard. Thanks!!!!

nope. the resolution has bumped up for some reason out of range for the monitor. Does it only happen in the game? that might be a clue.

No signal detected message on monitor, cpu and monitor are on

Good Day Jboone563!

You need to check if the VGA cable is properly fix to the monitor and video card. Loosen connection or no contacts is the reason for the "no signal" display on your monitor.

This means that there is no signal coming out from the video card, going in to your monitor. If by fixing the VGA connection did not fix it, try removing the video card from the motherboard and then reseat it properly to the motherboard slot.

If this do not resolve the problem, Jboone563, I'm sorry but you will need to replace the video card.

The on/off of pc monitor (LCD) is blinking.

Most LCD monitor (depends on the brand) power indicator light will either turn from Green to Amber, or flashing Amber, or flashing green, when it does not detect video signal feeding it. So it may be normal with your monitor. Are you haivng problem with the display? If it displays he pictue OK then there is nothing to worry about.

Benq 19' LCD Screen 3 yrs old- no signal detected on brand new PC

Have a look at the back of your computer.

See if there is more than 1 video port.

If there are 2 ports try plugging the monitor into the other port....

Sometimes motherboards have internal video cards, in this case the video port is in among the USB ports, sound and mike sockets etc.

Look for a video port away from all those other things.

No Signal

Probably the settings on the computer graphics card output.
You need to selct the external screen.

Just to be sure it's not a screen fault, are you able to test it on another PC (desktop, not laptop)?

Monitor Acer Problem

I agree it isn?t the monitor but I would suspect the video card you are connecting it to or the PC itself. Generally if a monitor doesn?t detect a video signal it will go into hibernation mode, typically displaying a no signal warning and changing the LED color from green to amber. When you start the computer is anything displaying at all? Are you sure the PC is powering up and booting?
