Question about Sony KV-27S42 27" TV

Thermistor resistance value on Sony KV-27S42

Does anyone know what the resistance should be on the thermistor THP601 ( original part # 180358611 changed upto 180354111) in the KV-27S42 degausser circuit? I did order the part but they send me a 3 legged part, original was 2 legged. They said this was the replacement. It has 2 pieces of ceramic disc inside with a resistance on each of 9 ohms....total if I just connect the two pins of 18 ohms. Does that sound like the correct value? The old one was tested at less than 1 ohm....but it could be bad. Need to get a schematic to see what the value should be. Any idea where I can get that info? Thanks

Farnell lf1 generator thermistor

All thermistors should be pretty much interchangeable. as they are a high resistance until a power surge hits them and then they are near zero resistance.

E2 code no heat

The "E2" error code indicates a shorted thermistor. The thermistor is a component that the control board monitors in order to regulate the operating temperatures. The thermistor is a component that changes its resistance value according to temperature. If the control board does recognize a certain range of resistance of the thermistor, the control board will stop the dryer and display "E2".

Kenmore Elite stops early and flashes e1. How do we corect this Thanks Todd

The electronic control detected the thermistor is open. The wire harness connecting the thermistor and electronic control is broken or the connection is loose or the thermistor is indeed open. Measure the resistance of the thermistor then refer to the temperature and resistance table for the normal thermistor resistance values. My whirlpool duet dryer is coming up with a code E2 and turning off. Do you know why?

The fault code E2 means the electronic control detected the thermistor is shorted. It's either the wire harness connecting the thermistor and electronic control is shorted or the thermistor is indeed shorted or its resistance is too low. Measure the resistance of the thermistor then refer to the temperature and resistance table for the normal thermistor resistance values. Replace the thermistor if the measured resistance is not in the table.

Check the wire harness for short circuit if the thermistor resistance is good and make sure the connectors are inserted correctly to the appropriate terminals. Replace the harness if shorted. The problem lies in the electronic control board if no issue is found in the harness and the connections.

The thermistor is located on the blower housing and can be accessed through the toe panel. Shut off the gas supply if the dryer is gas type and disconnect electrical power. Remove the two hex-head screws from the bottom flange of the toe panel then pull the panel down and off the cabinet.

Remove the hex-head screw from the lint duct bracket and remove the bracket. Remove the two hex-head screws from the lint duct and remove the duct.

Remove at least one of the wires from the terminals of the thermistor when measuring its resistance. Remove the two-hex-head screws securing it to the blower housing when replacing it and install the new one. Reassemble in reverse order of the disassembly steps.

I get an E1 code on a whirlpool duet dryer. What could the problem be.

The problem is the control thermistor being detected open by the electronic control. It's either the wire harness connecting the thermistor and electronic control is broken or the connection is loose or the thermistor is indeed open. Measure the resistance of the thermistor then refer to the temperature and resistance table for the normal thermistor resistance values. Anyone know what code t0 means? Dryer will start but never finish drying clothes regardless what cycle you're on.

To = Thermistor Open error.

The Thermistor resistance is very high.

Check for:
- Clogged lint screen.
- Restricted vent system.
- Check Thermistor resistance.

Replace themistor if out of range.
