Here is a solution that worked for me (see below)....to get the clutch out I used a flat-head screw driver in the bottom of the base to hold the cooling fan and then screwed the clutch out with a clockwise turn. I have yet to order a new clutch ($2.70) at http://www.ereplacementparts.com/waring-bb180blender-parts-c-120019_120020_130537.html but the removal works. Good luck.

Hello
There are two type of fittings for this gear. In some models it will be push in type, and for others it will be screw type. If your model has push type one, just pull out it from the shaft. You may have to excert a strong force to pull it out. If it is screw type, you have to open its lower lid by unscrewing its secrews, hold the cooling fan and hold the gear at the top, twist it in 'CLOCKWAYS' direction, [not counterclockwise], to screw it out. OK.

Instructions found in operations manual. "The rubber clutch disc on the blender base has reverse threads. To replace , remove the rubberclutch disc by threading it clockwise. To install the new clutch disc, thread it onto the motor
shaft counterclockwise."

I can manually turn the blades inside the glass pitcher and I can turn the piece on the top of the motor base into which the pitcher blade attachment fits.

One of the parts is not being driven properly. Either the clutch on the top of the motor is not really attached to the motor shaft OR the clutch on the bottom of the blade is not engaging with the motor clutch OR the blade clutch is not properly attached to the blade shaft. On some models if you put the rubber sealing ring in the wrong place between the beaker and the blade housing it is enough to lift the clutches apart. The rubber wing goes between the beaker and the blade housing, not between the blade housing and the blade retaining ring.

I have a blender/processor combination. the wheel

Replace the part. Repair of the broken part is impossible to make reliably.

Replacement will take a bit of disassembly.

Kitchen Aid Blender - blade not rotating

You will definitely need to change the clutch blade i.e. the black rubber rotating bit. Chaging it on the base unit may be difficult, I would check with your local Kitcheaid repairer for spare parts and repair advice.

Also check the clutch blade on the jug itself.

Clutch on the jar of my cbt500 cuisinart blender is broken.

The clutch assembly is for the teeth on the base itself. If your problem is with the teeth that are connected to the bottom of the blade that sits in the jar, you want to order a blade assembly instead.

Replace clutch assembly Waring BB150 Blender

Remove the little rubber feed on the bottom of the base (they might be glued a bit so be careful not to rip them). This will reveal 4 phillips head screws...remove them...this will open the base and reveal the back site of the rotor. In the middle you will see a turban blade like wheel with a large flat tip screw. Wedge a large screwdriver between the teeth of the old clutch so that when you turn the flat tip screw it will stop rotating the other end. Turn the screw with some force to the right to losen the clutch...then do the reverse to get the new one on tight...put everything back together and there you have it.

Keep in mind that this might void your warrenty if you still have some on it.

Broken gear on BFP-703 base

The drive is replacable and available from Cuisinart, you will have to sign a waver to get the part. the drive is screwed onto the motor shaft with reverse threads. the plastic drive will have to be completely broken off of the unit to expose a brass"nut" which was internal to the drive. depending upon your model you may have to remove the lower half of the base unit to access the lower part of the motor shaft. there will be a slot in the end of the shaft for a large flat blade screwdriver. this is used to hold the shaft still while turning the drive "nut" with a vice grip pliar or similar. the new drive is just threaded onto the shaft and normal operation tightens it.
