Question about General Electric A735 Digital Camera

1 Answer

When I connect the USB cable from the camera (GE A735) to my computer to upload pictures it crashes my computer. Tried using a card reader but the same thing happens. It works fine on my new lap top so I think my P C is too old (Windows XP). Any suggestions?

Unable to download pictures from my GE A735 camers

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as the free Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I have a GE A735 nd i cant get the pictures to download to my computer. how do i do this?

Did your camera come with a usb or does it have some sort of memory card?

USB:
Plug it in your camera and computer. It will take a few seconds to minute to locate the new hardware. After this go to My Computer > New Drive (example F:). If this is not the case, then you will have to install the driver/program from the cd that came with your camera.

Memory Card:
Take out the card, insert it into your computer if you have a built in card reader, otherwise buy a card reader and attach it to your usb/computer. After that you should be seeing your images.
