This machine have an IGP video solution, an integrated graphic chip, therefore you can replace it. But you can ad one graphic chard, a very cheap one, if you use this machine only for internet browsing and office activities and light video activities.. You have an PCI Express X 16 slot free on your computers motherboard. But first check the functionality of our computer using some other video card, maybe borrowed from a friend.
I can suggest something like ATI Radeon HD 4350 to HD4650 or ATI Radeon HD 5450 to HD 5570. Those entry level graphic cards have HDMI output also.
You have an old system, maybe is not the IGP the only problem. Don't' get any more powerful card as you have a lesser capable power supplier.
Have a nice day.

Monitor not working with desktop T6410. been working fine but won't work today. it say no signal, R G B and monitor shuts off

Most likely you have an integrated video card. I would suggest taking out the ram and see if your machine beeps. We know it is not the monitor itself. Since its an integrated video card off the board try using a PCI spare video card if you have one or an AGP card and restart the computer and see if you have video. The bummer about these machines is that you have to replace the board to repair this or use an external video card that will work with your machine. AGP or a PCI slot has to be available and it has to work with your make and model computer. Contact support online and see what upgrades are available.
Personally integrated hardware is a pain to deal with. Factory hardware is something you cannot get over the counter often times if your lucky you may be able to get a PCI card to work. John

Monitor say RGB no signal?

If the monitor works with other computer then the video card in the computer where the monitor does not work is bad. You need to replace the video card. If the video card is on the motherboard, just replace it with a video card that fits into one of the PCI slots. If you were using VGA then purchase a PCI VGA Video Card.

I have to replace the video card on a t6412

If you have to replace the card on an emachines I would go with one of the many brand name cards available from NVidia or ATI.

Be sure you get a card with the correct interface (PCI-Express)

You will most likely need to upgrade your power supply as I think your unit only has a 300W PSU.
The new PSU may also need to include the correct type of power adapter for your card.

If the old card is part of the motherboard, please remember to disable it in the Bios.

When turning on the emachine, No Signal shows on the monitor

Please check the cable at the back of the tower connected to the monitor. Make sure its plugged in properly on both ends. If you have another monitor, try connecting that. If still, that does not work, then, check on the video card. If you have a video card, then you should connect your monitor there, and not the internal one. Still doesn't work, try reinstalling the driver for your video card.

Computer start but wont Boot up.

Here are a couple steps you can do to verify something didn't come on correctly.
- Verify the monitor cable is connected tightly to the monitor and PC.
- Verify the power cable is plugged in.

If both of these check out is there a little LED light on your monitor that is on?
If not swap it out with another monitor and see if a different one works. If so we have a bad monitor.
If both do not work you may have a video card issue. Most EMachines come with a onboard video card which is bad news. If you have a onboard video card you will have to verify the warrantly though Emachine and get it fixed. Good luck and I hope things go well.

Monitor doesn't work

Sounds like a bad video adapter. I'm assuming your emachines has an integrated video adapter. Put in a video card (with the power plug pulled out! Touch the bare metal frame of the computer with your hand before inserting the video card into the agp or pci slot Don't touch the motherboard). If you get video, you may or may not need to install drivers after that. XP has a lot of video drivers, but lacks quite a few of them, too.

Monitor

Same thing is happening with my emchine as well. Mine is a T6412 series machine. I boought this machine a year and a half ago. Suddenly one morning the monitor started flickering. At first I thought may be some problem with the cables. I tried with different cables. Same problem. then I thought maybe my monitor has gone bad. So I went and bought a new Samsung monitor. Even with this new monitor the problem remained. So, I am assumng now that the problem is with my computer and not the monitor. Can someone please help. I do not usually come to this site. Can you please email me your solutions and help directly to amalandy@hotmail.com. Thank you so much for your help.
