It depends on the mount on the lens. If it has a Nikon mount then it will fit onto the D3100, though the camera's smaller sensor will make the lens seem more like a 105-315mm.

Since you didn't specify some details about the lens such as the maker, I can only speculate on the rest. Unless the lens has a focusing motor built in, you won't get autofocus. Also, unless the lens has compatible electronics, you won't get any exposure metering support from the camera and you'll have to use it in the manual exposure mode.

I have a new Nikon 3100. The problem now is my 18-55 zoom lens is locked and it won't move. In the manual setting and by unclicking the outer lens auto button, the focus front lens is fine. It'

Simple answer; NO! What ever you do; do not try to force anything to move and don't try to disassemble the lens. Contact a Nikon Repair Depot (found in your instruction manual or on the Nikon USA website) and they will give you instructions for returning it for a repair estimate. If it is still in warranty, there should be no charge.

Nikon coolpix 3100 - maximum card support?

yes you would. It can inly accept 1GB cards. Just as a tip large capacity cards make it slow to recover from a write after taking a pic so if you can get say 512K cards still use those they recover from writing a lot faster

Whenever i on (start) camera ,Zoom Nikkor is not opening

Hi,

Your guess maybe right.

If your camera is of SLR type then you can easily open the lens and give it a vaccum blower to blow dust.
If it doesn't work or your camera is compact type then you have to seek help of good mechanic.
