If your looking to find out how to run your sub to your amp, then you have a dual voice coil sub meaning two positives and two negatives, there are many ways to hook this sub up i am recommending that you run it in series, which is you run a jumper wire from one coils positive to the other coils negative then you will have two open feeds one on each coil a positive and a negative those two go to the amp if you have a two channel amp i would bridge it buy running the positive to the left positive on the amp and the neg to the right negative on the amp this is the most bang with the least chance of blowing stuff.

How to hook up a dual voice coil subwoofer

The problem with dual voice coil subs is that the amplifier must be able to drive the load. I am assuming that each coil is 2Ohms each and the amplifier you are driving the subwoofer with is capable of driving that load. If this assumption (of the VC) is true your Amplifier will need to power the 2Ohms of the VC this will be "Normal". If the Amplifier is not capable of powering less than 4Ohms you will need to wire the subwoofer in "Series". If the Amplifier is capable of powering half the VC's resistance you can wire it in "Parallel". Normal wiring is going to be, Positive on the Amplifier goes to the Positive (red) side on the subwoofer and Negative on the Amplifier goes to the Negative (black) side on the subwoofer, then repeat this for the other output side of the Amplifier to the other VC, easy: This is "Series". Now if the amplifier is not capable of driving the load this gets slightly complicated. Positive from one of the positives on the amplifier goes to one positive side of the speaker. Negative goes to the opposite coils Negative side (black), now you get a short wire of your preference from the Negative that has no other input and run it to the opposite Positive side that has no other input: This is called "Parallel". If the Amplifier is capable of running a load lower than the resistance rating of the subwoofer then run the wire from Positive on the Amplifier to Positive on the subwoofer and Negative on the Amplifier to Negative on the subwoofer, and then run a short wire of your preference from the first VC to the other VC, Positive to Positive and Negative to Negative. Double check the wiring Red to Red and Black to Black in everything but "Series". Take it easy and don't wake the dead, I did that in the middle of the day they don't like being waken from their slumber.

How do I connect my nitro 1000 watt amp to get thr most bass .i have two 15 vx kickers

If you have the Nitro bmw-482 running it at 2 ohms will give you the max output (its not 1ohm stable so don't run it that way). First run your two dvc speakers parallel (run both negative out puts together and both positive out puts together on each speaker). After this you should have 1 positive and 1 negative wire from each speaker (4 wires altogehter). This will give you a 1 ohm load which your amp can't handle, so you have to run the 4 wires in series to create a 2 ohm load. Now take the positive wire from 1 speaker and connect it to the negative wire from the opposite speaker. Thats how to run in series. Now you should have 1 positive wire from 1 speaker and 1 negative wire from the other speaker which is 2 ohm load. Your amp sould be bridgeable, so connect the positive wire into the correct terminal of your amp and the negative wire into the correct terminal of your amp according to where to bridge it (positive into left positive, negative into right negative) . That will give you a 2 ohm load bridged which is the most power you can get out of your amp 300 watts. Medium quality amps are over rated so you will never acheive the 1000 watts as advertised.

Would like a schematic or picture of battery terminals on 1995 fxds in order to identify positive and negative

The battery posts are identified with a + sign for positive and a - sign for positive.

Unless someone has changed the wiring, the positive wire should be red and run down to the starter and solenoid.

The ground (negative) should be black and run to a bolt on the frame.

Need wireing diagram for hooking up two as12sq 12-inch square 2

you can run each sub at either 4ohms or 1ohm which means that two of them will run at either 2ohms or .5ohms....be careful how you wire them because most amps cannot handle .5ohms very well and might blow.....to wire them for 2ohms you will need to wire each sub the following way. they have two voice coils make a jumper wire connecting the negative on one coil to the positive on the other coil. what you are left with is a coil with an open positive and the other coil has an open negative. when both subs are wired like this connect the two positive terminals together (1 from each sub) and the two negative terminals together (1 from each sub) now the subs should be wired together at a 2ohm load. run the two positive wires into another combined wire which will run to the positive speaker terminal on the amp. do the same for the negatives

I want to make this sub a 1 ohm. how do i do that?

to run this at 1 ohm, connect one terminal to your amplifier and then run a line from that terminal to the other terminal, in parralel, which means positive to positive and negative to negative in all cases. a wire starts at one terminal, goes into the next terminal and continues to the amp.

To run at 2 ohm just connect one terminal to the amp, no need to make a connection between the two terminals, just choose one!

to run at 4 ohms, u have to wire the sub in series, which means you connect the negative of the amp to the negative of one terminal, and the positive of the amp to the positive of the OTHER terminal, and a wire should connect the negative and positive from each terminal.

This is assuming that your subwoofer has two 2ohm terminals.
be careful what you amplifier is stable at. running 1 ohm on a 4 or 2 ohm stable amp can and eventually will over heat and destroy it.

I have a pioneer gm-x404

The wiring is fairly straight forward. Along the top row of the ten pin plug =
(Left to Right)

Front Left positive,

Front left Negative,

Control wire from your stereo head unit should be thin blue wire sometimes listed as Remote Wire this switches your amp on and off via your head unit so you don't run your battery flat,

Front Right Negative,

Front Right Positive.

Bottom Row=(Left to Right)

Left Back Positive,

Left Back Negative

Centre Nothing

Right Back Negative

Right Back Positive

These are all inputs from your head unit.

To bridge from 4 channel to 2 you connect

one left speaker to Ch B Left Positive and Ch A Left Negative

one Right speaker to Ch B Right Negative and Ch A Right Positive

Ten Switching the Input Select switch to 2CH

Alternatively if your unit has RCA's on the back of the Head unit you can use them to run your subs.
Hope that helps.
