Hi there,

Without the make and model, I can't be specific. I can only point in the general direction.

The clutch is either electric or a Spring loaded pulley.

If its a pulley, look for a broken or frayed belt.

Electric? Look for a blown fuse, bad belt or loose wires.

Hope this gets you there

Mike

Blades disengaged when mowing and not engage did not run over anything and nothing is stuck in blades

Hi Don:
It's my guess that the drive belt is dislodged or the idler tension spring has dis-lodged.
With the engine off, have a look under the machine and above the mower deck. The drive belt will wind around the various pulleys and idlers. Move the engage/disengage lever back and forth so that you can see what is supposed to happen.
Odds are that you will see the problem right away.
Cheers.

My bottom blades on my Falcon X Helicopter don't turn. I've looked and it seems the spinning bit connected to the engine (green coloured) is sitting right below the wheel connected to the blades....

Hi,
I think the problem is the green pinion drive gear, either it has already crack on the sides that's why it moves to another position.
You could adjust the green gear by pushing it where the big gear( wheel ) turns. There is a screw at the side of the propeller where you could tighten it to the point it can have a contact with the green gear.
You could buy that green gear in the internet. You don't have to disassemble the whole thing.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for using FixYa!

Garbage Disposal Ace 2000 model 47982.... The water won't drain out of it and the sink is backed up and hasn't gone down for a whole day now. It seems like the blades are turning. I've been...

Hi David,

Are the blades actually turning or is just the motor running?
First, turn off the power to the disposal at the circuit breaker. Do not put your hand in until you do this.

If you hear the motor running, but not the blades, then the blades are jammed. On most disposers you can put an allen wrench in an opening under the unit and move the blades. If the blades move freely, then your drain line is probably plugged.
If the motor runs, but the blades don't and they will move freely by hand, then the disposal needs repair.
If the blades are jammed with food, you can clear the jam with your hand and the allen wrench trick from underneath.
Once the disposer is freed up, run cold water down the drain for a few minutes to harden any grease build up inside. Then running the disposer should get rid of the hardened grease.
By the way, most disposers have a reset button on the bottom of the motor should your disposer jam and turn off or trip your breaker.

Orange peels, etc. will not harm your disposer. A good way to keep it clear is to put egg shells down it periodically. The shell action will scrape junk off the inside of the disposer.

You can also keep the disposer clean of grease buildup by pouring some baking soda in the disposer followed by a mix of hot water and vinegar.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Thihl HL75 hedge trimmer engine will not run at full speed

Remove the cutting attachment, insert a screwdriver in to the shaft receptor and it should operate smooth with a slight bit of friction. if not then check the blade bolts and make sure the blades move freely. Lubricate the blades and the gearbox regularly. If the attachment end is good then turn the driveshaft by hand (with attachment still off shaft). If this too moves freely then go to the clutch.
