If you have an external mouse, try to insert that on your laptop. Then go to the control panel and then mouse and change the settings. Check if you have the synaptics driver on your taskbar and then disabe the buttons under the "buttons" tab. Hit apply and ok. Restart the pc and unlpug your external mouse. Check if the touchpad works..

Asus a52f left touchpad button not working properly

The laptops that I've worked on have the touchpad as a subassembly and the switches are soldered to that. If the actual plastic button has developed a flaw, then possibly one could take a good button from a good case top and insert it but I'd have to see the construction of the assembly to see how feasible that would be.

Aspire as3810TZ touchpad stopped working.

Press the mouse lock button. Most times you toggle the touchpad by a button at the top in the middle of the touchpad.

Some systems will have you to tap twice in the upper left hand corner of the touchpad to toggle the touchpad.

I've also seen some systems where you would have to Press and Hold the ALT or the FN key located at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The key that toggles the touchpad will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square which represents the touchpad.

if all fails Click Start/Control Panel and look for mouse or touchpad. Go in and set the settings back to default.

You could try reinstalling the touchpad drivers.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Touchpad rivers.

Left button of the Asus Eee 900 is not working?

I guess you mean the left touchpad button. With my 900 that happened after only 4months extensive use. Reasons could be dirt in the microswitch under the button or broken contact of switch on MB. To exclude software problem, switch buttons in touchpad driver panel and see if the right button function is not working when pushing the left button. If you don't want to open your eeepc to clean or fix, activate the tapping option in the touchpad options and asign a "2taps with one finger" to a left mouse click for replacement. I work with that for almost 2 yrs now without ever using the left button again. Should you just switch buttons, be prepared that the right button might leave you too in a while.

Take care,
Juan

I have the solution...
u see where the switch on button is ? next to it there are two buttons ...ones for stopping internet connection ...thats the one on the right. the one on the left is the one for locking the touchpad
if that button has a orange light blinking on it it means its locked ..
so just push the button and see if it works :) .

Emachine E725 touchpad does not work

The eMachines E725 has a built in switch to toggle the touchpad on or off by the touch of a button. Look at the button to the left of the main power switch. You'll notice the icon looks like a hand touching a rectangle - or touchpad. if this button is lit up, the touchpad is turned off. simply press the button to toggle the touchpad back on. The light on the button should now be off.
It's that simple. I hope this helps.
