Question about Motorola Walkie Talkie 2-Way Radio

1 Answer

We lost our manual for our Motorola K7GFV700 2-way radios. They are at least 5 years old. Do you know where we can find a manual? Thanks!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

It should be able to be turned on or off by holding the + (plus) button in while turning on the radio. We could not find the manual directly for the T5000, but here is a link to the T5100 and T5200: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T5XXX_User_Manual_E.pdf

You have a few options: check with your local radio dealer or radio shack store for a similar speaker, purchase another used T250 radio via ebay or other source, or simply retire the T250 and purchase another low cost TalkAbout radio. All these radios operate on the same 14 FRS frequencies. Motorola has never supplied parts for this line of consumer radios. They had a replacement warranty, then following the expiration of your warranty they were considered disposable/replaceable. Sorry.

Best regards.

HOW FAR IS THE DISTANCE THAT YOU CAN HEAR ON THE MOTOROLA TR50? I LOST MY OLD MANUAL

Typically handheld radios will talk line-of-sight up to 2 miles. Obstacles you put between the two radios can absorb part of the range. Talking from inside to outside of a building you may only get 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Height and placement of the antenna determines range, so the higher you are the further you will talk. If you were on a mountain top and talking to the valley below, you could talk as far as you could see, which might be significantly more than the 2 miles you would get in normal terrain. (I think the box advertises up to 5 miles, but this would be under ideal conditions, and is not realistic.)

How to charge battery in Motorola Talkabout Distance DPS

You can obtain a wall adapter style charger for your radio at your local Motorola dealer, or online at http://www.eradiostore.com/cart/index.php?target=products&mode=search&subcats=Y&type=extended&avail=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&epcode=Y&q=htn8232

Sidenote: The rechargeable battery is good for about 2 to 3 years. You can tell the age of your battery by looking at the date code on the back of the battery above the stop sign. The first number is the year, the next two numbers are the week of the year. 915 would be 2009 the 15th week. (Or if very old it could be 1999 the 15th week.) A good battery, when charged will go an 8-10 hour day.

Keep both of your charge trays, replacements for these are no longer available.
