Oven--

Is the oven working now? test to see if the broiler is working too....if broiler working and oven not you need to replace the ignitor http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-fgf316-%3d%3di12872&PartID=12872 normally when an igniter gets old it will take a little longer to ignite the gas hence the gas smell.

Broke glass ceramic top on my Jenn-Air Cook Top CVEX42070B and would like to replace top or complete Halogen Module AH151B

The complete module has been discontinued, see link no.2.

The glass top only, can be ordered through link no.1, and may be replaced by you or a service technician.

The burners in the gas oven are producing uneven flames and creating soot - ie. blackening the doors and walls of the oven? There seems to be one screw on the left hand side of the burner - can we take the...

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Yellow flame and black soot is an indicator that the flame tube is being starved for oxygen. Where the orifice injects the fuel at the base of the flame tube you should find a movable air adjustment shutter that is usually held in position by 1 screw. This screw may have loosened and allowed the shutter to close off oxygen to the flame. Below is a link to a page that shows an oven burner tube...click to enlarge image pn1015233 and observe bottom end. Rotate shutter any direction until a nice blue flame appears but is not "blowing" off the burner tube. Tighten screw to retain position.
