Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers
Sounds like you have a heating problem. Machines with a timer are controlled by the thermostat, so it wont click on until the machine reaches the correct temperature. Is the water hot? If yes then you need to replace the thermostat and high limit stat. If not hen it will be either the stats or element. Most likely the stats.
They typically look something like this, but if you visit an online spares site and select your make and model it will give you a breakdown of all the parts. To change put machine on its side and remove the bottom panel, this will give access to the components. If not then tilt machine back and remove the front kicker plate and the the panel in behind. The stats will be at the front of the appliance for access. Hope this helps
