My toshiba equium laptop keeps randomly turning itself off - this could be after 5 mins or after 60 mins, but could be fine for a couple of days!!!

Hi:
your symptoms point towards a intermittent cooling problem...You might need to remove your cpu cooling fan, clean it up, and re install it, with new thermal paste. Make sure all fans in your computer are working as they should, including the power supply fan too.

I have an Acer Extensa 5620 Laptop and it is Very fast, 3 gigs RAM expandable to 4, 358 MB of Video RAM, Dual Core processor, 1.82 Ghz. I do lots of graphic intensive multi-tasking, the computer keeps pace just fine.

Computer freezes after about 10 mins !

It is possible the power supply is now too small for the number of loads you now have. Not sure what your CPU is ,but I bet it is 80 watts just by itself. The minimum wattage requirement or the video card by itself is 300 watts.Add the drives, ram, fans and mobo and you way underpowered.

Everytime i go onto the internet on my laptop, after 2 mins, the screen goes blue, writing comes up telling me to check installed hardware and then it restarts itself, how can i resolve this problem??

Run a restore point to before this happened (IF Possible) and reboot. If not, you will need to enter in the exact error message into Google and follow instructions for going into registry manually and fix that way.

Acer laptop wont't turn up...

yo...

good to hear... least we know what is wrong...

so it can be one of 3 things... the first 2 are the most common and the last one can happen but I haven't seen it happen too often.

1. LCD control board is busted. Usually a circuit board that controls the picture going to the LCD screen. Usually built into the LCD monitor.

2. LCD screen is busted. The screen itself is busted.

3. Video card on the laptop is busted.

I'm going with 3 as you typed the system can't find the video card on the laptop. Try going to device manager and try to see if the computers/windows detects the video card. If it pops up you can try re-installing the drivers for the video card.

Check for any "Unknown" devices as that might be the video card itself.

Let me know what you found...

P.S. please rate my Solutions... Thanks

When i am working on my HP laptop Compaq 6515b, sometimes, it suddenly shuts donw, and the laptop itself is extremely hot. sometims, it took 5 mins to open a word file. Someone told me that maybe there...

Hi, the problem sounds to me like your CPU is overheating.
Have a look or have a technician look at the cooling fan and see if it is still working.
Most CPU's are set to shut down when over hot to prevent damage.

Power issues

Something is loose in the power connections. The board may be wasted already.
