Make sure all your sound card drivers are up to date. Also, does the PC have a built in microphone? If not, then that can be a problem as well.
Try going to Start>Control Panel>Device and Drivers and at the top of that screen there will be a button that asks if you want to scan for new hardware that should prompt to update missing drivers if any.
Hope this helps.

Just plugging in the external mike into the jack should AUTOMATICALLY disconnect the internal mike.

How to fix and install the built in microphone of my P-78What's your problem?

LOL, Windows 7 is like it's predecessor Vista. Same people wrote it.

Have you made sure you have the mic's volume turned up? Have you selected the mic in the Audio and Sound properties?

Look at the Audio and Sound properties in the Control Panel and make sure everything is ok. The Mic has to be selected as a Recording Device.

Hi. I bought a new Acer computer last spring. I have no difficulties recording sound from the Inet, but if I try to record with a mic, I can hardly hear what I recorded.

Hello, If you're using Windows XP you can go to the small speaker icon in the taskbar and double click on it, coose the menu options and choose Advanced controls, you'll be able to see a button under the MIC slider, click on it and then check Mic boost, click the close button and you're done, please don't hesitate to ask again if you are using vista or windows 7, have a nice day :)

I would like to know why my window7 not support sound on chat, that mean that I hear from the other on chat but they can not hear me when I talk back to them

I think this is not related to Windows 7 but with the sound settings and mic. Check and make sure that your default recording device is set to Mic from the sound settings and test your mic so that you can see it's working properly.

No live sound using Samson CO3U and Windows 7 x64

I don''t think you can solve this problem. The problem is that the computer has to digitize the incoming audio, then echo it out. This conversion takes time and is also governed by the real time clock servicing of the devices. You could try upping the priority of the conversion process, but I don't think you are going to be satisfied with the result either.

You would be happier to use a mic and external mixer where the audio is true real time rather than having the conversion latency time.

Why wont my headset mic work i can hear through headset but friends cant hear me i have done all checks and all in properly

try using the windows sound recorder in the accessories menu in the all programs menu in start menu
if you are able to record sound on that it means that your mic is fine but the game or software your are using to communicate to your friends doesnt have it selected
if the windows recorder doesnt work with your mic then either the mic is broken or it is not set as the default sound recorder in windows sound settings

Cannot record sound

Normally every Lap is coming wit internal mic; so

1- Simply check your mic is mute or not

2 - Check your mic volume

3 - Use sound recorder that comings with windows (just record & play)

4 - Use an external MIC (known as working) with sound recorder

5 - Check in control panel->sound and audio device --> default recording device and Voice recoding device as your system’s built-in audio device (some times it’s changing when we installing b-tooth deice)

6 - Check device manager --> under sound audio controller for any issues

7 – Uninstall & install completely your Audio Device driver with default settings.

** If you didn’t solve your prob; my advice is take your lap to a good technician with component level Repair skills.

Thank you & Best Regards
Dinu..
