Question about Inverter Power ,1500W, WESTWARD, 1YAY9
It is overheating. A good test for this is to use a soft gel pack that can be put in the freezer. Use and old towel to wrap the ice pack once and set it on top of the inverter for about 20 minutes. Then use the pump. If it runs longer, the inverter is going bad, and will cost more to repair than to replace. Check all wiring for green corrosion as this can also cause overheating, but the fact that you have the same power draw leads me to a bad inverter. 6.5 amps is pushing a 1500 watt pretty hard, try stepping up to a 2000-3000w Westward.
