Question about Canon PIXMA iX4000 InkJet Photo Printer
Check all cables and power supply connection.
If the power supply is live, check the fuse to the electrical plug for your printer.

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down.If you are convinced there is no paper jam all what is needed is to reset. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer ONLY WHEN PROMPTED, to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Check the paper in detect switches, open and clean the feeding tray and the rollers.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken.
