We bought an element telivision in november of 2010. It,s a 55 inch flat screen hd. Last night the picture and sound just quit. If you change the station it shows the channel number and name of show but that loasts a second or two then goes off again. any suggestions?

If this set is under warranty you should return it to get it repaired/replaced by the seller at their expense. Let it be their headache.

Element flat screen HD

If this set is like a polaroid (the entire chassis pulls out after removing the 3 back screws) you have definately a need for a mainboard. Shop Jimmy.com has the entire assembly for sale at last check. It is possible to use a polaroid chassis and only difference is it will say polaroid instead of element at initial startup. The prices may be hi but it is your decision weather to fix. [email protected]

My Avis flat screen HD TV has sound but no picture.

First thing to try is if using a box for signal unplug both that and the set from power for several minutes and then plug back, it is possible the issue will be gone and the set working normal again.

NO TV PICTURE

The best way is to contact your service provider and ask them to trouble shoot guide you, there should be a way to reset or diagnose the receiver or if you prefer go back to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement, You should still have the manufacturer's warranty, check that as well.
